The extensive stone mosaic terrace offers plenty of space to sunbathe around the pool, dine alfresco, barbecue or find a shady spot to enjoy a good book and incredible views. The villa is south facing and enjoys early morning sun and from the dining terrace, the last rays of sunshine as it dips behind the mountains.

All of the bedrooms, and in particular the master bedroom, with a Jacuzzi bathroom en-suite and dressing area, are spacious, beautifully furnished and have large balconies with sea and mountain views. With good access to Kalkan town, peace and quiet, and plenty of space to relax, Villa Adnan is a good choice for those looking for a beautiful property at which to relax and enjoy all that Kalkan has to offer.

This beautiful villa offers a welcome feeling of space as soon as you arrive. The ground floor accommodation is flooded with light from three huge sliding doors, which offer the option of effectively extending your living space into the outside. The design of the villa and its situation within its plot means that you can see everything that's going on at any time, whether you are inside or outside. Internal and external walls have some feature stonework which adds character to the villa and throughout the main living areas the flooring is a warm creamy travertine stone finish.

The ground floor comprises an open-plan living space incorporating a cream kitchen in one corner with a dining area, and a really spacious lounge area with TV/DVD corner. Downstairs, cloaks are situated near the main entrance hall.

On the second floor are two en suite bedrooms; one double and a twin. These two rooms each have separate access via double doors to a really large shared balcony with views of Kalkan Bay in one direction and uphill towards Kalamar Bay with an olive grove nearby.

Floor three has a really huge master suite with a really generous dressing area, spacious bathroom with a corner Jacuzzi and its own private terrace offering unhindered views of the bay. This is a really luxurious getaway area at the top of the villa. The villa's private pool and terraces are all situated to the front of the villa and have wonderful open views across olive groves down to the Mediterranean and right across to Mouse and Snake Islands.

The swimming pool is a real feature of the property with ample space around it for sunbathing, playing, reading, alfresco dining and the villa is so close to hand if you need anything. Outdoor eating is a real pleasure in the shade outside the kitchen/living areas. The garden areas are planted with lush green shrub borders and planters

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Turkey's Mediterranean shore, called the Turquoise Coast, is nearly 1600 km (994 miles) long, scattered with fine-sand beaches and sprinkled abundantly with classical cities turned to picturesque ruins.

It has more and better beaches and resorts than does the Aegean coast, and warmer, saltier water than the Black Sea coast.. The Taurus (Toros) Mountains form a dramatic backdrop along much of the coast, often dropping steeply right into the sea, but in some places rivers have washed down enough sediment over the ages to form beaches backed by fertile alluvial plains good for growing cotton, vegetables, and even tropical fruits like bananas.

Southwest Turkey, along and inland from the popular "Turquoise Coast", was home to the ancient Lycians who were one of the most enigmatic people of antiquity. Although little historical record has been left behind them, what has been discovered reveals a fascinating people culturally distinct from the rest of the ancient world. Around twenty major sites remain today with the Lycians' unusual funerary architecture dominating the breathtaking unspoiled land of Lycia.

Kalkan is an elegant harbour town set in the heart of the old Lycian region. It is cosmopolitan, with wonderful restaurants and great places to stay. The Taurus Mountains provide a stunning backdrop, whilst the views across the bay are remarkable

This beautiful and sophisticated bougainvillea-covered harbour town is set in a breathtaking landscape in the heart of the Turquoise Coast.

Tourism is still relatively new in Kalkan, with the first visitors being yachtsmen who discovered the delights of the harbor and the town in the late 1980's.Strict conservation laws have ensured that the heart of the old village retains an authentic ambience that attracts (according to the Sunday Times) the sort of visitor who might also be enchanted by, say, Tuscany or the Dordogne. The result is a discerning mix of predominantly British guests together with Istanbul Turks attracted by Kalkan's reputation within Turkey.

Winding cobbled streets, colourful shops and excellent harbour-side or roof terrace restaurants and bars are combined with stunning views – whether you are looking up to the dramatic Toros mountains behind the town, or down across the harbour to the broad sweep of the Mediterranean .
