The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region
The Turquoise Coast is one of the most beautiful places in the world: its golden beaches, gorgeous Mediterranean waters and warm temperatures make it a honey pot for tourists all year round. The apartment is perfectly located to act as a base for exploring this richly fascinating area.
Patara - voted the 3rd most stunning beach by the Sunday Times - is just 20 minutes drive from the apartment and Fethiye, a working Turkish town, is about 45 minutes drive; with its magnificent Tuesday Bazaar/market, impressive mariner, rock tombs, castle, and wide selection of shops it is definitely worth a visit. Many of the market vendors move between the markets in Fethiye, Kalkan (on Thursday) and Kas.
The apartment is located between Kas and Fethiye, making it an ideal base to explore the many surrounding historical sites such as Pinara, Xanthos, Thlos Myra, Saklikent Gorge and Patara which can all be reached within 15 to 60 minutes drive.
With so much of interest in the surrounding regions and the village itself, Kalkan is a destination that encourages guests to return time and time again. Whether your interests are historical, cultural, or you just wish for the most relaxing holiday in the most beautiful, Kalkan is sure to satisfy.

"Amazing views of KALKAN harbour"
We stayed in the apartment for 2weeks.1st week with son,his girlfriend and daughter ,the accommodation was very spacious, ideal for our group size, the facilities were excellent, everything was there that we needed.the views from the balcony were breathtaking,we could watch all the boats coming and going and watch some fabulous sunsets.the pool was lovely and clean, looked after daily by Yusuf, who is the caretaker,he was on hand for anything we might have needed.
Spent lots of time at palm beach club, which was a 2 minute walk, down lots of steps.quite a tough walk back up at the end of the day,but this did not put us off.
KALKAN town is very quaint, hundreds of restaurants to choose from,we did not have a bad meal. Lovely shops for jewellery and handbags. Good nightlife if you want it,met some wonderful people. The apartment is far enough away from town for it to be very peaceful.highly recommended.

What a holiday, our first time in Turkey and our first try at this type of rental. The whole experience far outdid our expectations, the view from the balcony was fantastic - I could probably spend every evening there watching the bay and the changing colours and never get tired of it. The apartment was well furnished and very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped although with the number of restaurants we didn't do much cooking. (Apparently around 300 restaurants in Kalkan). The surrounding area is superb for culture or just relaxing and within a couple of days of arrival we were already saying 'the next time we come...'
I can honestly say that we arrived back home feeling totally relaxed and we will definitely be going back again.
