The Turkish Mediterranean Coast region
The Turkish Riviera(also known as The Turquoise Coast) is renowned for it's almost endless sandy beaches, set against the impressive Taurus Mountains. The glorious climate means at certain times of year you
could actually ski in the morning & sunbathe in the afternoon! Despite being a hot climate for much of the year, the region is surprisingly fertile & green, thus providing some of the best golf courses you could hope to play.
There are many historic towns to visit, national parks & activity tours (water rafting, water sports etc.) Or you could just grab your own stretch of beach & do nothing; maybe just a little shopping with a bite to eat in the good
restaurants & bars that abound along the Med.
Belek/Kadriye are small towns growing with the development of the golf resorts. The clear aim is to make the area the ultimate golf destination. There are currently 13 courses within a 10 minute drive, including the new Faldo & Montgomerie courses,The National, the Antalya (Pasha & Sultan) The Gloria, the new Sueno courses & others, most to PGA standard. If you're a golfer you will love it.
If you're not into golf,or just want a break from it, Kadriye & Belek beaches have been totally redeveloped with new bars, restaurants, go-karting, kids play parks, water-sports etc.Belek also has a waterpark.
Belek & Kadriye offer plenty of shops to go bargain hunting & there are weekly markets. Be prepared to barter! Night-life tends to be relaxed. After a few drinks (beer is still quite cheap compared to UK or Spain, Portugal)
try one of the many good restaurants which serve a good variety of food, both Turkish & English/European.
There are a couple of bars/eateries a short walk from the villa,& Sef Ali does a nice traditional English fish, chips & mushy peas on Friday nights.
The bus services in the area are excellent.Buses are clean & cheap. Take a bus to Antalya, Side, or even Alanya. It's more relaxing than driving.Buses also go to Belek,Serik,Kadriye & the beaches.
There is a nightclub at Kadriye beach,& some of the hotels have discos etc.

"A peaceful, relaxing villa with every home comfort and the added bonus of a private pool"
If you’re looking for a holiday that is peaceful, relaxing and comfortable, then this is it. The villa is lovely and has every home comfort you could wish for. It was very hot but the pool was lovely and cool and cleverly, as the midday sun hit, the shade came across the patio so you could relax on one of the loungers and read (or just doze). We could all do what we wanted, when we wanted. Jeff was very helpful with lots of information before we left. He arranged taxi transport to and from Antalya, sent us lots of detailed information about the area so we really didn’t have to waste any of our holiday finding things. Dolly and Ivor made sure we settled in but left us to it which was great. The supermarket on the corner stocked everything we needed (and is very reasonable) so we had some lovely barbecues. The best fun was putting the barbecue on and then having a swim whilst it cooked. We did have plans to do lots of ‘day trips’ but to be honest, the villa was so lovely and it was so hot we really just enjoyed lounging around reading one of the vast selection of books whilst the kids watched one of the many DVD’s at siesta time. We did go out most days (even just for a stroll to the local bar Belek). We went to Troy Waterpark which is a great day out (just make sure you hit a sun lounger as soon as you get in as it’s a bit of a scrum). The kids loved it especially our teenage boys. We went to Belek and Kadriye (the beach and town centre aren’t in the same place so if you get a cab be specific about exactly where you want to go). Both towns are good for shopping and so reasonable there really isn’t any need to haggle them down and we bought some lovely gifts. We bought a backgammon set and were given chess pieces free so the kids also played lots of games. Kadriye beach is especially lovely and there were also go-karts (another favourite with the kids). We would recommend the Istanbul restaurant at Kadriye beach where we had a magnificent meal! If you want to go sightseeing then I would recommend you hire a car. There were six of us and when we wanted to go into town we just got a taxi at the end of the road where there was a taxi rank. It was a very different holiday from somewhere like Bodrum and if you are looking for nightlife then this isn’t really the place for you! We all had a smashing time and would definitely recommend Fairways `16! Many thanks to Jeff and Gaynor!
Thank you for your positive review.I think you managed to get the right balance of activity & just relaxing around the villa. That's important when you only have a week to unwind & recharge the batteries. It's also good that you managed without hiring a car;shows it's not absolutely essential.I use the local buses quite often, especially if I don't have to carry much. We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay.Thank you.

"Super, Relaxing, Unforgettable Holiday :))"
If your looking to spend quality time with your family and friends then I highly recommend Fairways. We were a group of four friends that had a super fantastic week at the Villa. The Villa is excellently equipped, everything you need plus more. The thing that we enjoyed most was the peace, tranquilly and privacy the Villa offered and of course the private pool. Jeff helped us with transfers and car hire, which was very useful to get around independently. We visited Pamukkale but most days we spent chilling around the villa and having fun around the pool and venturing into Belek in the evening which has super shopping, cafes and restaurants. The Villa is excellent value for money, I would highly recommend it to anyone. Many thanks Jeff & Gaynor for sharing your Villa with us, we had a fantastic time there and I hope one day we can visit again real soon!
Thank you for your kind review. As you say, peaceful relaxation is the key to this holiday, though there is plenty of activity not far away if you want it.Glad you enjoyed it Ayshea.

"A relaxing, peaceful holiday to remember"
We only stayed a week but wish we`d booked two. The Villa was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and in wonderful order. The outside pool was exceptionaly well maintained, and a lovely relief from the heat. Not to far from the beach and main shops. A couple of supermarkets and a restaurant/bar is a short walk down the road. The local people are friendly and only too pleased to help. The bus stop is also just down the road so if you fancied a bit of a dance it`s only a short bus ride away. Overall one of the best holidays I`ve had.
So glad you enjoyed your stay.Perhaps a longer stay next time?Thank you for staying at Fairways,
