"Ideal safe apartment for young children,great location for beach,shops,eating and enjoying Dubai."

Great location for beach ,pool and all facilities within walking distance.No need to travel if you don't want to,but easy and cheap to taxi to all main attractions. Clean,spacious apartment,safe for young and elderly as no steps.Small balcony overlooking sea,ideal to watch the world go by as you enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine.Very helpful owner,flexible on arrival times etc. All facilities within apartment,dishwasher,washer,sky tv. Ongoing road works for new tram system at rear of apartment due to be completed at end of 2014 should offer improved travel on your doorstep,but taxis are so cheap to use anyway.A good base for a family holiday that offers the beach and facilities on your doorstep.

"Excellent apartment at great location!"

We have stayed here for six nights with two families; 7 people in total. I had stayed in holiday apartments in Dubai before and those were nice but very basic. This one however was far better than any other I've stayed in. The bedrooms are large, the living room is large and nicely decorated, and the kitchen is new and well equipped. Although you don't really need the kitchen because if all the restaurants and coffeeshops right next to the building. The master bedroom has a great view out out the sea, the other double bedroom looks out to Marina. Then there is the twin bedroom and the maidsroom, so enough space and privacy for everyone. The location is perfect, next to the beach, close to restaurants and big hotels where they have clubs. The owner was punctual and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

"Awesome Holiday Apartments"

We were traveling from Riyadh Saudi Arabia with our three children and meeting an older daughter and her nana from New Zealand.for a weeks holiday. We found the apartment was stunning and had plenty of space to fit us all in. The Manager was great and gave us a good run through everything. There is a supermarket just around the corner of apartment building that had Pork item which we were very happy about. Great assortment of restaurants and Metro about a 800m walk away. Would defiantly stay again.

"Superb November break at JBR. Dubai"

Travelled for a late weeks break with family including our 2 year old grandson. Apartment is in rimal 6 and on the 14 th floor overlooking the marina which is about a block away. The apartment is very well equipped and we didn't want for anything. There are 3 double bedrooms, 1 ensuite one overlooks the JBR walk and the beach.(there was at the time we went some major building works on the beachside , but DID NOT affect the apartment or our enjoyment). There is also a large single bedroom with a shower room and toilet. The kitchen is well equipped and it is very much a family sized and orientated apartment. Highly recommend it. The apartment swimming pool is about 50 mtrs from the main entrance and had lots of sun loungers , toilets and changing room. The water as you can imagine was very warm. The apartment as I have said is at JBR and the walk which is on the ground level has a large number of restaurants and shops. The restaurants do not sell alcohol. The hotels in the area. Holton , Sofitel , movenpick, Sheraton are in walking distance and are very good for an evening out with some nice restaurants as well. The apartment is about 15 mins walk from the Dubai metro that can take you to most of the attractions if you wish. Taxis are generally available off peak. If you require the a t peak hours call and book. As I have said there are is there is in most of Dubai building work and roadworks going on, but this shouldn't affect your enjoyment. Great value , hopefully we will be able to go back to the apartment

"Overall Very Good"

Overall this place was very good, nearly excellent. It would have been excellent and received a 5 rating, except for one important thing. There is a massive construction project the runs the whole length of the beach directly in front of the building where the apartment is located. We were never told about this until just as we made final payment a month prior to our stay it was then mentioned. I didn't think that was the best, it should have been mentioned earlier (and upon returning and doing some research, I see the construction has been going for months, so it was a known issue). When it was finally mentioned at this late stage, I did ask for further clarification on how this might affect beach access, and was told "The temporary construction should not impact your stay and the beach access etc. Is available from front entrance." While this isn't totally untrue, the construction did impact beach access. Beach access was more difficult, you have to walk further down to gain access, and while the beach is still pleasant enough it comes with a construction backdrop and construction noise. And those beautiful sea views pictured on the listing, now have a huge construction eyesore. So when you see the photos on the property listing, replace a big construction site for that car park between the building and the beach. I think if the owner had been more upfront and forthcoming about this information, I'd have respected and appreciated that more. I was tempted to give this rating a 3 instead of a 4 because I think this is leaning slightly on the deceptive advertising side. But on the other hand, once we adjusted to the reality of the construction and how it would impact our stay, the apartment really is fabulous and construction aside we really loved staying there and really enjoyed the JBR. And this construction issue is not unique to this apartment, and is affecting any and all apartments within the JBR. The only other negative comment is that check-in was a bit of a jumble. The guy who met us, was not the usual check-in, guy and it was obvious. He didn't really know anything about the building/apartment, so he wasn't any help. And he wasn't prepared with the right forms. It didn't end up mattering, but it wasn't a great start. Plus we had to fish around for a few things, towels that were still wrapped up in the laundry plastic hidden in a closet, etc. But the apartment is so fantastic that I can overlook the negatives enough to give it a 4 rating. The apartment is huge, three of the four bedrooms are enormous. The fourth is the maid's room, and also just fine, but more remote in a corner location and not needed for our group's size. Would make a fine single room for a child or teenager. The two main baths are great, great water pressure, clean, etc. Didn't use the maid's bath, and there is also a toilet room in the living area, so lots of great bathroom/toilet space! The view from the master (save for the construction) was a dream to wake up to each day. The view from the lounge off to the marina was also lovely. This is one of the things we loved about this unit, how amazing to have sea views AND marina views from the same unit! The WiFi was great and worked very well (my husband always has to work on holiday, so this is key for us). The kitchen was great, well equipped, etc. The bedrooms are super quiet, so sleeping was peaceful and dreamy. The unit has access to al the complex pools, there are something like 6. The pools were great, two are heated, which we enjoyed. Pools are extremely clean, nice deck area with lounge chairs, and pools were relatively empty, we often had them to ourselves. It was better than resort pools in my opinion. The grocery store is right in the complex, literally less than 5 minutes walk from the unit, and so convenient. Had everything we needed. JBR is a great location, loved having 1km of restaurants right on our doorstep. Lovely area to stroll. If you can overlook the construction, and you really can, I'd highly recommend this place. Out of interest, the construction is for a low-rise mall (like Dubai needs another mall!), and even when it's complete, I can't see how this will impact this apartment's view much as the apartment is high on the 14th floor.

"Great Apartment, Great Location and Great Value"

We have just returned to the UK having stayed in this lovely apartment for four nights en route to South Africa. It was a perfect size for our party of seven people and is in a great location - near the beach, moments from an amazing choice of restaurants and importantly minutes walk from the local bar which has happy hour from 7.00 to 8.00 pm. The apartment is accessible by the numerous and cheap taxis from the airport -the only problem we encountered was trying to book taxis back to the airport but this was solved by the Sofitel hotel next door to the apartment block as there is a 24 hour taxi rank there. If we ever returned to Dubai we would certainly consider renting the apartment again.

"Perfect location, plenty of room"

Fantastic location for a family of 8. 4 children in the age of 3-7 and 4 adults. easy to get around using the Dubai Taxis. The beach is justa 2 minutes walk away. Nice pools.

"Fantastic apartment, great location"

Travelling with a large group, including two toddlers, we opted for an apartment instead of hotel and we were very glad we did. This apartment was fantastic, plenty of space for us all (3 couples, two children), really well equipped and a brilliant location. There is a choice of swimming pools, supermarkets within very easy reach, and a great range of restaurants all on the doorstep. The apartment is very well decorated, with plenty of bedding and towels, plus a washing machine which sadly was used despite us being on holiday (kids!). The beach is opposite and marina round the corner, both worth a visit. Taxis were readily available on the street outside, and a very cheap and easy way to get around. There are lots of lovely hotels in the vicinity which helps if you want to be able to drink alcohol! Booking was really straightforward, and all our needs catered for in terms of arrival/departure times. We loved the waterparks (Atlantis a must!), the Jumeirah Beach Park, the fountains and aquarium at the Dubai Mall and afternoon tea at the Burj-al-Arab was a real treat! If you're going to be eating out and going on trips then the Dubai Entertainer books are worth getting - lots of money-off vouchers that definitely save you lots of money. Overall we had a brilliant trip and, should money allow, would definitely go back.

"Excellent apartment for large groups"

The apartment is well situated at the beachfront, is very spacious for groups of about 5 like we were, is well equipped with new furniture, is well maintained and the service from the owner and local manager is excellent.

"Excellent Accommodation"

A La Plage is a very spacious apartment beautifully furnished to a high standard. Very well equipped with quality dishwasher, washer, fridge-freezer etc. A large group of us stayed here for a week but it did not feel crowded with the 3 showers and 4 toilets ensuring a very practical and comfortable stay. Booking was easy and friendly with prompt and polite helpful communications . Despite a very late arrival of the flight the representative was on hand to explain and show us around the apartment. What we found really helpful and unusual in our experience of renting properties was the provision of milk,tea,coffee an water etc there for our arrival. Also there was plenty of cleaning and washing materials. The apartment itself has a lovely view of the beach from one of the bedroom windows and is a very short step down to 'The Walk' where there are many places to eat or just stroll and people watch. We would unreservedly recommend the apartment for anyone wishing to stay in the JBR area of Dubai.
