Each cottage has 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) spacious lounge/diner, superbly equipped kitchen, bathroom with large shower. Interior facilities include: all linen, chunky towels, Satellite TV,DVD, CD, indoor games.
The property enjoys a wonderfully elevated position even the locals envy with spectacular views in all directions.
Beautiful floodlit pool overlooking the valley, new secluded TENNIS court with coaching by appointment plus tennis ball serving machine, pergola, BBQ area, lots of garden games including boules & table tennis, badminton. Bikes are available & spacious grounds for outdoor activities and tranquil areas.

Juignac area
Locally there are villages, forests, rivers within minutes of us plus the glorious contrside in every direction. Cognac is close by as is medieval Angouleme, the ancient town of Brantome with a classic market place by the river, plus delightful Saint Emilion is within easy reach. The Atlantic coast is about 1hr 30 mins drive. The must see city of Bordeaux is also about 1hr 30 mins drive.
How to get there
Ryanair fly to Bergerac 60 minutes from us, or Poitiers 90 minutes. Driving ? our closest large town is Angouleme, try www.viamichelin.com for a good route map. *New from April 2008 Ryanair fly to Angouleme, about half an hour from us.*

Each cottage has a private terrace and all have wonderful uninterrupted views. CD player, DVD player, Satellite TV, indoor games are standard in all cottages.
Further details outdoors: Chez Maurit, dating from the 17th century, is situated in the heart of the sunny rural Charente minutes from the Dordogne border & near medieval Angouleme. Set in 2 acres it stands elevated on the sunny side of the valley away from main roads & the bustle of life, a paradise for a relaxed holiday.
The location is excellent for exploring the Charantais villages, many from the 12th century & steeped in history: those who sketch, paint or just enjoy tranquillity will be inspired. Deer, wild boar, buzzards, & kestrel abound in the valley, binoculars a must! Cognac & beautiful Saint Emilion are within easy reach.
