Apartment Etienne is one of two neighbouring apartments, both located in tastefully renovated, traditional stone houses built in the 1850s (see separate listing for Apartment Clisson). The comfortable apartment has two airy, bright rooms on two floors - a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a kitchen / dining / living room downstairs. It is ideal for a couple or small family who want to enjoy both romantic and family-friendly village and lakeside life at their doorstep and be a short drive away from dozens of Brittany sites to suit every interest.
Jugon-les-lacs is a charming village designated as a "Petit Cite de Caractere Bretagne" on the shores of Lac Jugon. Steps from the apartment, village life centres around the Place du Martray square with fine restaurants, cafes, bars and bakeries, as well as a grocery store, newsagent, hair salons, tourist information centre, a market every Friday, and various festivals throughout the summer. The village also has a lakside sports centre, heated open-air swimming pool and fresh water fishing centre with activities such as sailing, canoeing, swimming, horse riding, cycling (bicycles can be rented), trail walking, fishing and golf. Jugon-les-Lacs is an easy drive away from the bustling, picturesque towns of Dinan and St. Malo, clean seaside beaches, marinas, castles and other historic sites, traditional Breton villages and gentle countryside (great for cycling!).

Jugon-les-lacs is on the shores of a 4 km-long lake which has a sailing centre where bicycles can also be rented.For anglers there is a Fishing Centre in the village. An excellent, heated open-air swimming pool is available in the summer. There are tennis courts both open and covered in the village. Jugon is on the national network of public paths; there is a great walk around the lake and many pathways to explore. The village is criss-crossed by three streams; between two wooded hills. It has historical architecture and nearby is the 800-year old fortress of La Hunaudaye, currently under restoration. How to get there
Fly to Dinard Airport (near Dinan) from Stanstead or Luton on low-cost Ryan Air; rent a car at the airport (reasonable rates available on the Ryan Air website.
Fly to Rennes Airport from Southampton Airport on Flybe; rent a car at the airport.
Enjoy a leisurely Channel crossing on Brittany Ferries (car ferry) from Portsmouth to St. Malo, or from Plymouth to Roscoff, or from Poole to Cherbourg
Take a train from Paris to Rennes (2.5 hours) or to Lamballe (3 hours); rent a car from the train station.
Jugon-les-Lacs is located on the N176 halfway between Lamballe and Dinan, a pleasant 20-minute drive from both, 45 minutes from St. Malo, a little over 1 hour from Rennes and about 3 hours from Roscoff and Cherbourg. High windows with lace curtains on the inside and shutters on the outside look out onto surrounding hills and village streets.
Further details outdoors: The apartment is located on the first floor of the building, up a short flight of stairs.
A small lockable storage shed at the side of the building can be used for bicycles.

25% of the rental fee is due six weeks before your stay to secure the booking. This can be paid by mailing a cheque or by a deposit in our Lloyds U.K. bank account.
A 10% discount will be given if neighbouring Apartment Clisson is also rented at the same time by the same party.
Unfortunately, as there is a staircase both outside and inside, the apartment is not suitable for wheelchairs and may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties.
