In the centre of this traditional village complete with historic church, this is a spacious and practical house.
It has a sheltered garden for quiet evening barbecues, covered veranda and large light conservatory.

The beautiful local rivers and forests offer opportunities for all sorts of activities. Watersports can be enjoyed at Ploermel. The beautiful fortified medieval town of Josselin, with chateau, half timbered houses and picturesque riverside setting is close by, and the lovely fine sands of Pleneuf Val André are within easy reach.
Shop and café/bar 200m, restaurant 300m.

The Brittany / Morbihan region

Morbihan stretches over the southern coast of Brittany with over 900 kilometres of sunny beaches. Stunning landscapes are everywhere you look, from the Morbihan Gulf to Groix Island by way of the Quiberon peninsula, Belle-Ile-en-Mer and the Etel and Auray rivers.

Natural scenery is like a string of impossibly beautiful postcards. The town of Vannes, deep in the Morbihan Gulf, boasts an architectural legacy which dates back to the Mediaeval and Renaissance periods while Carnac fascinates visitors with its mystical megalithic alignments, reminiscent of Stonehenge.

If you tread quietly in the legendary Brocéliande Forest in northeastern Morbihan, you can glimpse little hordes of smiling faeries.

The Josselin / La Trinite Porhoet area

The beautiful local rivers and forests offer opportunities for all sorts of activities. Water sports can be enjoyed at a well equipped aquatic centre in Ploermel which also boasts a fine Golf course and club house.

The beautiful fortified medieval town of Josselin, with chateau, half timbered houses and picturesque riverside setting is close by and is a great venue to experience the weekly local market with fine cuisine and locally grown produce.

The lovely fine sands of Pleneuf Val André and the fascinating Golfe de Morbihan are within easy reach whilst the coast of Brittany boasts some of the best seasonal sailing available.

There are regular UK crossings to both Roscoff and St Malo. Caen and Cherbourg in Normandy are nearby ports with regular crossings. Ferries are convenient for those who want to bring their cars.

It is also cheaper if you are booking for larger numbers or out of season. You don’t have to spend hours crossing the Channel as there are now super fast services heading to Brittany.

Flying is a great option. Ryanair flies to both Dinard and Brest directly, while Easy Jet and Fly Be offers flights to Dinard and Renne from Manchester, East Midlands, Bristol, Stansted, Gatwick and Southampton.

“An central location from which to explore Brittany by motorcycle” We had a most wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the house. The house is well equipped and we found no shortcomings. Everything was just as one would hope to find it.. We had bags of space and made full use of it - In the morning we had breakfast in the kitchen, in the evening dinner in the dining room, then upstairs to relax and chat in the lounge until the small hours! Because LaTrinite-Porhoet is so centrally located, even the north or south coast was an easy day trip and every day we traveled to somewhere different - Vannes, St Malo, Auray & Carnac etc. We were completely captured by the charm of Josselin and had two great days there. On a few evenings, using the brochure on Porhoet, we strolled around the village and were particularly impressed with the lake and municipal campsite and some of the fine old buildings. All of us agreed it was a great location for a motorcycling holiday and will recommend it to our friends.

A Winter Fuel subsidy of 40 Euros per week is payable to the House Keeper upon arrival for any booking between Oct and March.

No Deposit is required but Guests are expected to treat the property as their own and leave it clean and tidy.

Bookings are secured by payment of 20% non-refundable deposit. Any remaining fee is payable two weeks prior to the booking period.
