The area benefits from a micro-climate making it one of the sunniest parts of France, with mild winters and hot summers.
The Jonzac area
There is as small village shop in St Georges Antignac where you can get bread, milk, etc...
The house is in a small Hamlet 7km from the busy town of Jonzac, where you can find many large supermarkets, local markets, restaurants, bars, shops, Thalassotherapy centre, large indoor/outdoor water centre, casino.
The local beaches are approx. 35km - 45mins.
The famous town of Cognac is 30mins away where you can visit the major cognac (brandy) houses.
Talmont is well worth a visit. It is famous for its hollyhocks in the months of April, May and June.
