About the home

This beautifully presented 2 bedroom waterside villa is located on the much favoured South Finger of Jolly Harbour Marina Complex, on the west coast of the sun-kissed island of Antigua. The villa has been completely refurbished including a new kitchen and two new en-suites. A variety of watersports are available on the beach, which is only 3- 5 minutes walk away.

The Antigua region

Antigua is a tropical island paradise located in the leeward islands of the Caribbean, with cooling trade winds ensuring that the temperature is fairly constant for most of the year (26c – 33c). There are a wealth of places to discover from deserted beaches to historical sites such as Nelsons Dockyard in English Harbour, also worth visiting in the south is Falmouth Harbour. The capital St Johns is just a 20 minute drive away from Jolly Harbour. In our experience the Antiguans are delightful people. Speaking English, they rely largely on the tourist dollar and are keen to make sure we have a good time.

The Jolly Harbour / Jolly Harbour Villas area

Jolly Harbour is the largest purpose built marina in the Caribbean, covering a 350-acre tropical beachside site. It has two beautiful white sand beaches. South Beach offers a good selection of watersports including a PADI dive school. A shuttle bus service is provided, or a golf cart can be hired to get around. Facilities include the Jolly Harbour golf club, a large well stocked supermarket. two banks, numerous gift shops and art galleries, bars and restaurants. Car Hire is available on site. The Beehive Sports complex, incorporates a bar and restaurant and also a 25m swimming pool, squash and tennis courts. A full marina service with boat charters is also available on site together with a tour operator offering day trips and other activitiesThe complex has 24 hour security.

Fly to V C Bird International Airport and take a taxi from directly outside Arrivals to Jolly Harbour, specifying that you want the South Finger. The taxi ride takes about 20 minutes. Antigua is served by British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, BMI and First Choice from the UK and by American Airlines and Air Canada.

“A very nice spacious villa” The villa is well situated for all amenities and a short stroll to the beach. Stayed on this complex several times before and have to say the refurbs to this villa in the bathrooms and kitchen are a must. Most have cramped bathrooms and a small kitchen. It was well equiped with nice extras to make packing a bit lighter-English plugs in every room and loads of all sized towels! The extended decking was great for the late afternoon sun with exceptional quality outdoor furniture. The beds were very comfortable with thick sprung mattresses.

“Perfect home away from home” We rented this townhouse for 8 nights over Christmas to get 'away from it all'. Jolly Harbour had been recommended by other friends so we were pretty confidant we knew what we were getting, and we weren't disappointed. This villa is situated close to everything you need, beach, supermarket, bar, bus stops etc. There is also tennis and golf if thats your thing. We wanted a laid back holiday and thats what we got. The accommodation is well maintained, well set out and equipped, and its also spacious. We travelled as 3 adults and never did we feel cramped. We ate out on 3 occasions and the remainder of the time made use of the BBQ on the deck. The weather is so perfect for this. Would totally recommend this townhouse to anyone considering Jolly Harbour. The owners were more than helpful and provided a lot of useful information. I am sure we will return in the future.
