About the home

A fantastic newly refurbished two double bedroomed villa in a quiet road with beautiful views over the water and benefitting from air conditioning throughout.

A secluded white sand beach is a short walk away, while golf, tennis, squash, a gym and a 25 metre pool are all on the estate.

The harbour and marina offer sailing, fishing, and boat trips, There is a PADI dive school and Hobi-cats, wet bikes and water skiing are available from the main beach. Car and scooter hire may be arranged on the estate and taxis are based at reception. A golf buggy is included.

Full open plan kitchen withCorian worktop containing a large fridge / freezer and Maytag cooker with pyrolytic oven.
All main rooms have ceiling fans as well as air conditioning.The air conditioning and washing machine are separately metered at the same price as the normal supply using a card system. The living area contains a dining table seating six, a leather sofa and sofa-bed, flat screen cable TV with DVD player, a radio / CD player and IPod dock.
The partially covered terrace also has a dining table seating six and a gas barbecue.

Leading from the terrace through a stair gate is a thirty foot dock with its own mooring.
Helicopter trips are available around the island or to Montserrat and its volcano.
A wide range of duty free merchandise is available in St. John's
A regular shuttle provides transport around the estate, and buses run to St. John's from just outside the estate entrance
Cars,bicycles and scooters may be rented in the commercial centre, while a golf cart belonging to the villa is available at a small extra charge.

The Antigua region

Antigua covers an area of 108 square miles and with Barbuda and uninhabited Redonda has been independant within the Commonwealth since 1981, after being a British colony since 1623.

The climate is tropical with temperatures in the region of 80 degrees moderated by the soothing Trade wind.
The currency is the East Caribbean dollar although US dollars are also accepted everywhere. Cricket is the national sport and Viv Richards is an Antiguan hero.

Antigua is a perfect base for exploring other islands in the area as it is the hub for the Caribbean airline LIAT.

The Jolly Harbour / Jolly Harbour Villas area

Jolly Harbour is the largest man made harbour in the Caribbean and its Marina caters for yachts of all sizes. There are numerous shops and boutiques in the commercial centre together with a large supermarket open every day and containing an ATM. There are a wide variety of restaurants on and adjacent to the estate, and there is a lively beach bar on the South beach.

English harbour and Nelson's dockyard are a must to visit being the only working Georgian dockyard in the world. Betty's Hope is a restored sugar mill and a trip to Barbuda can give a close-up view of the largest colony of frigate birds in the western hemisphere. Or you can try the exhilarating rainforest canopy tour or swim with stingrays. Antigua has it all.

Fly to V C Bird International Airport and take a taxi to Jolly Harbour, specifying that you want the North Finger. The taxi ride takes about 20 minutes. Antigua is served by British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, BMI and First Choice from the UK and by American Airlines and Air Canada.
