Home description
Free transfers to and from the airport are included as is wireless broadband connection. The apartment is one of 4 luxury 2 bedroom apartments on an exclusive development. Set in half an acre of landscaped gardens it includes a large swimming pool, sundeck area and large canopied area for extra shade. There's plenty of sun loungers, no need to put your towel out. The master bedroon has an en suite with a bath and shower and there is a also a family bathroom next to the second bedroom. There is also a double sofa bed in the living area, should you need it. The internal accommodation is spacious and a large veranda stretching across the front elevation has steps leading directly to the pool. The veranda includes loungers, table/chairs and a barbecue. Jolly Harbour Marina and Resort is just a few minutes walk away across the road where you will find the largest and finest Marina in the Caribbean. There is also an 18 hole golf course, shops, restaurants, bars, and a large supermarket. Car hire whilst not essential is recommended. We can recommend a car hire firm at very favourable rates. Sugar Ridge development is now well underway close by and is expected to be completed by March 2009. Antigua village within the complex will offer more shops, bars and restaurants and boasts a private health club, temporary membership / entrance fee is expected to be available on completion. The Antigua region
Antigua is an English speaking island that is steeped with English history. It is approximately 14 miles by 11 miles but is packed with things for you to do whilst on holiday. English Harbour and Nelsons Dockyard, a world heritage site are a must. Sunday evenings is reggae night on Shirley Heights with steel bands, live music and a barbecue. Watch the most spectacular sunset you will ever see. The currency on the island is US$ and Eastern Caribbean dollar. Antigua has 365 beaches, one for each day of the year - most of the finest being on the West Coast - Caribbean Sea side of the island.
Jolly Harbour / Hamilton Estate area
Jolly Harbour has bars and restaurants to entertain you in an evening. There is an 18 hole golf course close by where you can hire any equipment you may need. Golf carts are recommended because of the high temperatures. Within the commercial centre at Jolly Harbour there is a local bank, pharmacy (with English newspapers), art shop and internet cafe amongst others. Cricket: Antigua like the rest of the Caribbean is cricket mad. The season runs from February to July and the island boasts a brand new ground, the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The old ground, (The Recreation Ground) is in the centre of the capital, St Johns and both are well worth a visit. The island is quite small only being 14 miles by 11 miles but it also has a third cricket ground called the Sticky Wicket situated within the airport compex. You will see this when you arrive at the airport. Sticky Wicket has a fine restaurant and bar. On your return home you can check your bags in at the departure desk and walk over to the Sticky Wicket to wait for your plane and enjoy a snack or full meal and drink before boarding your plane. Attractions: English and Falmouth Harbours Nelsons Dockyard - World Heritage Site - a must to visit Shirley Heights - Sunday nights steel bands, live reggae music, barbecue and the most amazing sunset you will ever see. Bettys Hope Sugar Plantation - see how these plantations were run and how they were managed. Many boat trips including a day trip to Barbuda (Frigate Bird colony ) and circumnavigation of the island. Helicopter trip over Montserrats active volcano and over the island Diving, sailing, snorkeling, horse riding, fishing, kite and wind surfing to name a few. Rainforest canopy adventure - glide through the tree canopy on a wire in Antiguas rainforest. Adrenalin adventure Cheap tranfer flights to other Caribbean Islands. Antiguas museum in St Johns is very interesting and provides a graphic history of the island and its indigeonous people. The Cathedral in St Johns is also a must.

The balance of the total rental price is due 60 days before arrival. 3. A full copy of our booking terms and conditions will be sent to you with the booking form 4. A holding cheque for £200 is required and will be returned within 30 days of you returning from your holiday providing no loss or damage has occurred. Should any loss or damage occur the cost will be deducted from the £200 and balanced returned to you. The apartment is accessed by three small steps at the entrance. Would suit most people with mobility problems.

2. The apartment exceeded our expectations for our first Caribbean experience. It was spacious, well equipped, comfortable and well appointed. the pool was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting on the veranda for breakfast and evening drinks and barbecue. There was a good range of restaurants in the area, indian, italian etc and we were never lost for somewhere to eat out. Yasmin was very helpful and the airport transfers went like a dream.
