Home description

This newly built ground floor apartment is one of 4 exclusive 2 bedroom apartments on a select development. Set in half an acre of landscaped gardens it includes a large swimming pool, sundeck area and large canopied area for extra shade. There's plenty of sun loungers, no need to put your towel out.

The apartment boasts 2 large bedrooms, one ensuite with bath and shower and also a family bathroom with shower. There is also available a large sofa bed in the living area, should you need it. The internal accommodation is spacious and a large veranda stretches across the front elevation with steps directly to the pool. Veranda includes loungers, table/chairs and a barbeque.

Jolly Harbour Marina and Resort is just a few minutes walk away across the road where you will find the largest and finest Marina in the Caribbean. There is also an 18 hole golf course, good range of shops, restaurants, bars, casino and a large supermarket. Car hire not essential but recommended. We can arrange this for you at very favourable rates.

The Antigua region

Antigua is an English speaking island that is steeped with English history. It is approximately 14 miles by 11 miles but is packed with things for you to do whilst on holiday. English Harbour and Nelsons Dockyard, a world heritage site are a must. Sunday evenings is reggae night on Shirley Heights with steel bands, live music and a barbeque.

Watch the most spectacular sunset you will ever see.

The currency on the island is US$ and Eastern Caribbean dollar.

Antigua has 365 beaches, one for each day of the year - most of the finest being on the West Coast - Caribbean Sea side of the island.


Jolly Harbour / Hamilton Estate area

Jolly Harbour in the evening provides entertainment in the form of many bars, restaurants, casino and live music. There is an 18 hole golf course close by where you can hire any equipment you may need. Within the Resort there is a local bank, pharmacy (with English newspapers), art shop and internet cafe.

Cricket:
Antigua like the rest of the Caribbean is cricket mad. The season runs from February to July and the island boasts a brand new ground, the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The old ground, (The Recreation Ground) is in the centre of the capital, St Johns and both are well worth a visit. The island is quite small only being 14 miles by 11 miles but it also has a third cricket ground called the Sticky Wicket situated within the airport compex. You will see this when you arrive at the airport. Sticky Wicket has a fine restaurant and bar. On your return home you can check your bags in at the departure desk and walk over to the Sticky Wicket to wait for your plane.

The extensive landscaped gardens feature a large swimming pool and sundecks with loungers and canopied shade area. The pool is exclusive to the 4 apartments. At the rear of the apartment block there is a washing line for you to dry your personal laundry. (pegs provided) There is ample parking for you on site if you hire a car. The grounds are lit at night with security lighting. The pool is also lit at night for your safety.

Conditions

1. A booking deposit of 20% of the total rental price is payable when returning the booking form to us.
2. The balance of the total rental price is due 60 days before arrival
3. A full copy of our booking terms and conditions will be sent to you with the booking form
4. A holding cheque for £200 is required and will be returned within 30 days of you returning from your holiday providing no loss or damage has occurred. Should any loss or damage occur the cost will be deducted from the £200 and balanced returned to you. The apartment is on the ground floor and is accessed by three small steps at the entrance to the apartment. Would suit most people with mobility problems.

2. The apartment exceeded our expectations for our first Caribbean experience. It was spacious, well equipped, comfortable and well appointed. the pool was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting on the veranda for breakfast and evening drinks and barbeque. There was a good range of restaurants in the area, indian, italian etc and we were never lost for somewhere to eat out. Yasmin was very helpful and the airport transfers went like a dream.
