Welcome to Spindrift, our beautiful detached self-catering holiday cottage in extensive grounds, which offers luxurious accommodation with breathtaking views. Located in a truly tranquil setting overlooking the North East coast. If exploration is high on your agenda you're perfectly positioned to discover the best of both the country and city.
This beautiful holiday cottage with a modern and elegant décor is a perfect place for unwinding. Ideal for couples who want a romantic break, honeymoon or just to escape from hustle and bustle. Its also a perfect quiet retreat for families with babes in arms.
With 3 bedrooms (including attic room), luxurious bathroom with roll-top bath and modern kitchen, the cottage has everything you will need for a relaxing stay. The entrance leads through to a spacious, bright and airy hall with access to all rooms and staircase to attic room. Continue through to the lounge, with superb views through dual aspect windows, and warming woodburning stove (with logs provided). The spacious kitchen includes a dining table seating 6, complete with dishwasher and washing machine. The master king-size bedroom and double bedroom are on the ground floor. Then upstairs to the single bright and modern bedroom with a futon available for an extra guest. The bathroom on the ground floor has a roll-top bath and separate electric shower.
This is an ideal place to escape to for a romantic relaxing stay or to explore the surrounding area. Short stays (minimum 3 nights.
Please note due to the position of the cottage the track leading up to it is not suitable for lowered vehicles.

The Aberdeenshire region
We are located between Aberdeen and Dundee, surrounded by stunning countryside. There is much to do in the area whether you enjoy exploring the Cairngorm Mountains, walking along the beach or visiting local places of interest. There are two traditional fishing villages with pubs, eateries and chip shop using fresh fish all within 2 miles.
There are restaurants, theatres, cinemas, bowling and much more in Aberdeen and Dundee which are only a car ride away. However, if you want to stay closer to home there is plenty of activities and attractions in the local area.

Dunnottar Castle - A dramatic and evocative ruined cliff top fortress in a truly stunning setting.
Stonehaven Open Air Swimming Pool - Olympic-size, heated seawater Pool (opens 25th May)
Royal Deeside - Home of beautiful Balmoral Castle, home of the Queen during the summer months.

Perfect base for those who like to walk, with routes directly from the cottage. Right by the coast with beautiful beaches and local villages to explore. Within Johnshaven there are places to eat, pubs and a local shop.

Mill of Benholm - an historic watermill, set in an idyllic setting nestling snugly beside the Benholm Burn with a tearoom.
Fowlsheugh RSPB Reserve - spectacular cliffs at Fowlsheugh are packed with 130,000 breeding seabirds in the spring and summer, including guillemots, razorbills and kittiwakes.
