The Gauteng region

The two largest cities in Gauteng are Johannesburg and Pretoria. Johannaseburg is the commercial and financial centre of South Africa. There is a bit of everything in Gauteng. Game Parks, shopping malls, entertainment, natural beauty spots, cradle of mankind, museums, sports centres, night life etc.

Johannesburg covers a large area and has the largest population in South Africa. Randburg is a suburb of Johannesburg approx 25Km from the city centre. There is a ring road that circles the city connecting all the major suburbs and the OR Tambo airport. A smaller airport, Lanseria 20km from us, flies to Durban and Capetown amongst others. It is the city of Gold where mining is a big industry. You can see a working mine at the Gold Reef City and go underground, and see gold being poured . 10Km from us is the nearest Game Park Lion and Rhino, Lion park, Cheatah and Elephant and the Cradle of mankind.
