Cottage | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 3
The Cortijo Roman is a beautiful traditional andalucian farmstead which has been restored and converted into 4 separate houses and cottages. Situated in 8 hectares of wild flower meadows the Cortijo is surrounded by colourful scented flower gardens and patios.
As a part of the original farm building Casa Golindrinos offers a beautiful setting for your holiday. With high wooden-beamed ceilings and clay-tiled floors throughout, the cottage feels spacious yet homely. The fully equipped kitchen/livingroom opens into its own secluded patio with barbecue and seating area. Here you can relax and enjoy the evening perfumes from the gardens which surround you.

The Andalucia region
The farm nestles at the end of a small valley close to the white, hillside town of Jimena de la Frontera. From it, you can enjoy outstanding views of Jimena's impressive hilltop castle, which is illuminated at night, and the white houses of the town clinging to the hillside below. In the town you will find a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops, internet access and banks.
Jimena de la Frontera
Beyond the town, the mountains of the Alcornocales Natural Park unfold into the distance. The Park is famous for its untouched habitat, abundance of wild flowers and many species of birds. You can walk into the park from the Cortijo (farm) or drive west through the mountains and into its heart. Driving north you join the famous Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos (White Towns Route) passing through many of the scenic, hilltop Frontera (frontier) villages with their castles. The location of the Cortijo makes it ideal for day trips to Seville, Cadiz, Jerez, Ronda or across the Straits of Gibraltar to Morocco.
Both the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts are less than an hour's drive south of the Cortijo. There you can find a wide variety of water sports and other activities as well as beautiful quiet coves and bays. You will have the choice of over twenty-five golf courses, various aqua parks and other theme parks. And, within and hour's drive, you will find a wide selection of restaurants, night life and the renowned shopping facilities of Marbella, Soto Grande and the Costa del Sol
