Home description
A spacious detached villa having a distinctive turret to the front with outstanding views over the Javea valley to the old village of Benitachell and the Bernia mountains beyond. Of traditional construction featuring Tosca arches and fireplace, with stone built terraces forming separate areas for al fresco eating and relaxing on different levels, each with lovely views. Extensive refurbishment has been completed ready for the 2006 season, creating a new luxury en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning for the master bedroom . Also, a complete refurbishment of the kitchen and second bathroom. Access to the villa is approached through a gated parking area and a flight of steps leading to a glazed in Naya. At night sensors automatically operate the external lights. Leading off the Naya is an open terrace, which catches the sun for most of the day.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca or White Coast, which extends along that section of the Mediterranean coast that corresponds to the province of Alicante, is made up of two clearly differentiated scenic sectors. To the North, a curtain of mountains runs parallel to the sea, descending at times to form cliffs; to the South, a vast plain of sand patches, palm trees and salt deposits make up the backdrop for the beaches. The traveller can choose any of the corners of this coast, from the most bustling and cosmopolitan to those still maintain their rural air beside the sea. In any case, the trip to the nearby regions is well worth the venture for they make up a fine representation of the typical Mediterranean countryside. From the valleys, which are covered with stepped orchards and keep alive its Moorish past, to the palm trees of unmistakable African origin, the horizons of the Costa Blanca offer the most varied attractions. The climate offers variations as well. The temperatures are usually mild -the annual average is a little higher than 17ºC- and rain is scarce, though the pluvosity is logically higher in the mountainous northern sector, in comparison with the lowlands which surround Elche and Orihuela. The fields of almond trees, the vineyards, the fruit orchards and the magnificent palm trees form vegetation, which emphasizes the oriental nature of the landscape.
Javea / Rafalet area
Rafalet, Javea is situated on the Costa Blanca with 220 km of coast and 100km of white sandy beaches. Mid way between Alicante and Valencia with their international airports, Javea lies between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao. It is surrounded by orange, olive and almond groves and the Montgo Mountain. Javea is divided into 3 areas: the Old Town with narrow cobbled streets and white washed houses, the fishing port and marina and the El Arenal sandy beach ,with promenade, shops, bars and restaurants.. Rafalet has been described as the first haven of peace from the summer hustle and bustle of Javea old town and beach areas. The villa itself is situated on a level plot, on the west facing hill that makes up Rafalet. All this but within easy reach of all the holiday facilities, Restaurants, Bars, Shops etc.
How to get there
Fly to Alicante or Valencia airports 90 & 100kms respectively. Many airlines to choose from EasyJet, Monarch, British airways etc. Car Hire recommended as most ecconomical means of getting to & from villa, please ask for recomendations. We give full instructions and maps for travel from airport to Villa There are always taxis available at the airport, but this can prove an expensive option.

Further details indoors: The entrance is via the Naya formed from Tosca arches, fully enclosed with plenty of comfortable seating to take in the views. You enter the villa via a door from the Naya into a good sized inner hall giving access to all the rooms. Immediately on the right is the spacious and comfortably furnished lounge/dining room which has satellite TV and radio, DVD, video and a CD player. The dining area has spacious seating for 6 people. From the inner hall there is access to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and newly created En suite facilities and air-conditioning, the second also has a king size bed, and the third has two single beds. There are fitted wardrobes in all the bedrooms. There is also a family shared bathroom complete with shower etc. New for 2006 is a 3rd bathroom adjacent to the swimming pool.
Further details outdoors: On the lower terrace is the superb 10 metre swimming pool with Roman steps to the shallow end and well furnished sun terrace for soaking up the sunshine. There is also a brick built barbeque and covered gazebo for poolside dining. Further terraces above and at the side of the villa all offer different views or shade at various times of day.
Conditions
A breakage/damage security deposit of £150 is required at time of final payment, in the event of no claim the deposit will be returned within 7 days of vacating. This villa is not suitable for the infirm or elderly, due to the number of steps and different levels that make the views so spectacular.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Saturday change over day for 2008 season (10% DISCOUNT from 2nd week), access to the villa after 3:00pm on day of arrival, villa should be vacated by 10:00am on day of departure. All towels and bedding linen changed once a week. Beach/Pool towels included. 2 week rentals will have a cleaning service at end of first week. Cot and highchair can be arranged on request. A welcome pack will await your arrival to provide those initial requirements for a drink or quick snack at the end of your journey. A deposit of 20% of total rental is required to secure a booking. Balance payable 6 weeks prior to start of rental.A further security deposit of £150 will be required to be paid with your final balance. This will be refunded within 7 days of vacating the villa subject to no damage claims. Rates include gas, electricity, water, pool and garden maintenance, they do not include flight costs, transfers to and from the airport, car hire or insurances which we recommend you arrange.
