The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Spain's Costa Blanca is a fascinating mixture of scenery and towns of which Javea is arguably the most spectacular and prettiest. A bonus is Javea's climate which the World Health Organisation once described as near perfect with it's mild/warm year-round temperatures.
Moving inland fromJavea, within a very short drive, are countless small towns and villages almost untouched by modern life. The scenery is just stunning and the people so welcoming. The food is unbelievably good and affordable. We believe this area to be Spain's best kept secret!
Javea / La Cala area
The charming town of Javea ( or Xabia in the local Valenciano language) lies between the two headlands of San Antonio and La Nao, mid-way between Valencia and Alicante. There are three distinct parts of the town, the Old Town with its quaint narrow streets and ancient squares; a fascinating Port (overlooked by a row of ancient, now abandoned windmills) which is a thriving fishing port plus marina. Then there is the Arenal which is the Town's main, safe, sheltered, sandy beach area. Watching over these areas is the spectacular Montgo mountain, shaped like an elephant which changes colour dramatically in the different lights and weathers. Quiet, scenic, beautiful and awe inspiring and yet extremely convenient for exploring the whole region.
Nearby, still in Javea, there are lovely small unspoilt coves and beaches such as La Granadella and also Portichol with its very pretty island and bay. There is plenty to do too. Walking, golf, scuba diving, swimming and sun bathing are the obvious. But there are plenty of others. Fiestas are everywhere. Every town will have at least one fiesta - so you can be almost certain to experience one during your stay. The ancient and traditional costumes, the bands, the noise and spectacle of the fireworks are heart stopping! Try and see a Moors and Christians battle re-enactment - unforgettable.

- Fly from UK mainland airports with easyjet.co.uk, flymonarch.com, ryanair.co.uk amongst others to either Alicante or Valencia (cheaper , less package holiday-makers and often less busy than Alicante).
- Hire a car with carjet.co.uk or carhire3000.com (excellent) and enjoy a scenic 80/90km (60-75mins) journey
- Good motorway routes with tolls (approx €5/€6 one way) between both airports and junction 62 of the AP-7 motorway

MAIN HOUSE The kitchen is equipped with upright fridge/freezer, full cooking facilities and dishwasher. Adjacent is a separate utility room with Bosch washing machine.
The lounge has an attractive feature corner fireplace with front and rear access to separate terraces. The rear terrace offers steps to a roof terrace where breathtaking views of the whole region can be enjoyed.
All 3 double bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with the master bedroom further benefitting from an ensuite shower room with sink, toilet and bidet. The shared bathroom has a jacuzzi corner bath/spa, toilet and sink. The master bedroom, 2nd bedroom and lounge all open out with double doors onto the porch/terrace. A sofa bed is provided for up to 2 additonal people, ideally children, increasing the villa's capacity from 8 to 10.
APARTMENT The apartment has a separate lockable entrance into a lounge area with double bedroom and ensuite shower room to the rear. This is opens out onto the pool terrace.
Further details outdoors: * The property is NOT suitable for wheelchair access (sorry!) as there are steps from the driveway to the main level of the property. Everything is flat once you have climbed the steps.
* Pool is 10m x 5m rectangular and professionally cleaned on a regular basis. Depth 1m shallow end to 2m deep end. Children must be supervised.
