The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Javea is an ideal centre for visiting other attractions and places of interest on the Costa Blanca. Nearby is the Montgo Mountain that looks like an elephant and it is possible to climb to the top of this where you will be rewarded with some spectacular views. The safari park at Vergel and caves at Benidoleig are a short drive away as are the towns of Denia, Moraira and Calpe.
The nearby village of Gata is well known for its wicker goods and here also is a Spanish guitar factory here that you can look around. The waterfalls at Bollula are featured on some of the postcards and the pretty village of Guadalest perched on a rock is famous for hand made lace.
Benidorm is only 40 minutes drive and offers the huge aqua park Aqualandia , sea world (Mundo Mar) the Terra Mitica Disney style theme park and the new Terra Natura nature reserve. Here also is the Benidorm Palace that put on some excellent stage shows with dinner included if you wish.
Javea / La Lluca area
Apartment La Tarraula is only 2km (1.25m miles) from the Javea golf club and local restaurant but a car is recommended as the local roads do not have street lights nor pavements and the main towns of Javea and Moraira, with their beaches, shops and restaurants are 9km (5.5 miles)
Situated on a sheltered peninsula, the town of Javea is approximately an hours drive from both Valencia and Alicante airports, and so choosing a convenient and inexpensive flight from the U.K. is easy. Within a few minutes drive from the apartment, you have access to many bars, restaurants, shops as well as the popular Arenal beach area. From this location you can visit many well-known resorts such as Denia, Moraira and Calpe, as well as being able to drive into the mountains and explore unspoilt Spanish villages with spectacular views.
Apartment La Tarraula is situated on an exclusive estate near to the Javea Golf Course and several restaurants. Javea itself has the old town, the port area, and the more modern El Arenal beach area that each provide a selection of shops, restaurants and other attractions. There is a long beach of Tosca stone as well as pebble beaches and the sandy bay at Arenal.
In the summer the beach bars along the beach and the market stalls at Arenal provide an interesting atmosphere to enjoy on a stroll or just sitting around well into the night. There is a fish market in the port and each Thursday the local market in the old town has an abundance of fresh vegetables and fruit as well as CDs, perfumes, clothes, bags, toys, souvenirs, etc.
As well as the nearby Javea Golf Course there is another high quality course designed by Jose Olazabal in La Sella that is 15km, a 20 minute drive. The local towns and villages also has have their fair share of Fiestas throughout the year that are always an enjoyable occasion.
How to get there
Apartment La Tarraula is in Javea, one of the most popular seaside towns on the Costa Blanca. It is just 13km from the motorway junction and just 2000 metres to the golf club and local restaurants. The beaches of Moraira and Javea are 8km, a 15 minute drive. The journey from Alicante airport is 95km, nearly all motorway, and takes just 75 minutes. From Valencia airport it is 125 km and will take 80 minutes, again nearly all motorway.
Flights to Alicante are available from a number of airlines including AerLingus, BMI Baby, British Airways, Easyjet, First Choice, FlyBe, FlyGlobespan, Jet 2, Monarch, Ryanair, and Thomsonfly which operate from a large number of UK Airports.
There are now twelve UK Airports that offer regular, scheduled flights to Valencia from five different Airlines: British Airways/ Iberia, Easyjet, Jet2, Thomsonfly and Ryanair.

Further details indoors: The living room has a television with UK free-view channels, a DVD player, CD player and radio, and comfortable furniture. The modern kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, extractor fan, fridge, microwave oven. A large range of cutlery, crockery and cooking dishes are supplied for comfortable home catering and the bedroom has a super kingsize double bed that can be made into two single beds if required. A washing machine is available for guests to use. With combined air conditioning/heater units covering the whole of the apartment, this holiday apartment is also suitable for winter holidays. The air-conditioning units are the inverter inverter type units that use about 40% less electricity than normal units. For security and safety the apartment has a safe for guests' use, smoke alarms, a CO2 detector and has been awarded a gas safety certificate.
The villa is situated in a very quiet residential area, The garden is secluded and spacious and there is ample secure parking on the drive. There is a large 10m x 5m swimming pool accessed via 6 steps.
Further details outdoors: Outside the apartment is a terrace with sun beds, table, chairs and sunshade to make your time by the pool comfortable and relaxing. You can enjoy the warm Mediterranean evenings beside the private pool with a glass of wine, or go for a late night dip in the pool which has underwater lighting. This apartment contains every amenity for a relaxing holiday.
Since the apartment is situated below the villa, guests may occasionally find the owners using the pool or garden. Please also note that they have two friendly dogs and two cats from the local rescue centre. You may take one small pet of your own (extra charge). The main villa is still undergoing some renovation but the owners will ensure that their guests are not inconvenienced by any of the work. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.
