Home description

This is a well equipped and spacious family home with a large garden and secure off-street parking for 3/4 cars. Ideal for summer living, with a huge covered terrace where you can cook, eat and relax.

All accommodation is on the lower level and the upper floor is not occupied during tenancies. The pool terrace has numerous sun beds, sun umbrellas etc. It is located 2 kms. from Jávea Town, but with a supermarket, a medical centre and bus stop within a few minutes walk, and several good local restaurants. It is about 5 minutes drive to La Sella golf course and 10 minutes to the beach and sea front.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Nearly surrounded by the Mediterranean and sheltered by Mount Montgó, the Jávea peninsula has an exceptional climate with very high sunshine levels, superb air quality and clear seas. It has typical Mediterranean trees and plants but is also a very fertile area with extensive orange groves and fruit and almond trees.
Situated midway between the cities of Alicante and Valencia there are also many other interesting towns and mountain walks and drives within easy reach.


Javea / Montgo area

Jávea has escaped the high rise development of some Costa Blanca towns and has three distinct areas. The old hill town (pueblo) with its traditional markets, the fishing port and marina and Arenal promenade with its safe sandy beach and entertainments. All areas have seen development but mostly with low rise apartments and villas.

There is a very good range of restaurants,both Spanish and international, many supermarkets and excellent shopping facilities. Less than five minutes drive from the villa is the Marriott La Sella hotel, spa and golf course and there are several places where you can hire horses and bikes etc.

Alicante Airport is about one hour away and has the greater choice of budget airlines. Valencia is about one hour and fifteen minutes away and now has an increasing number of cheaper flights from the UK and northern Europe. A hire car is strongly advised and there are many companies doing very good deals this year. The internet is the best source of current information..

There are ferries from the Balearic Islands to nearby Denia and easy links to the AP7 motorway, which gives a continuous fast route up to the Channel, should you wish to drive.

One bedroom also has a kitchenette, giving some independence for teenagers or grandparents. The main kitchen is fully equipped including a gas BBQ and is located on the covered terrace, giving ideal summer cooking conditions.

The gardens are gently sloping and usable by wheelchair. The swimming pool has easy access by steps at the shallow end. The gardens and swimming pool are professionally maintained each week. There is an electric gate giving access to the villa and parking area.

The property is best suited to family groups, but since the swimming pool is within the main garden area, it may be unsuitable for very young children. The English speaking owner has an office at the back of the villa, and any problems can usually be dealt during the few hours a day he is working there.

The villa is in a quiet residential area and tenants are requested not to play loud music late at night and respect their neighbours.


Conditions

A refundable damage deposit of €400 is required upon arrival, refundable within two weeks of departure, subject to a satisfactory property inspection.

Smoking is not permitted inside the villa, but permitted on the covered terrace.

SPECIAL RATES

All accommoation is on the lower floor and the above rates are for when the owners are not present on the upper floor. A reduction of 15% on the above rates is available when the owners remain on the upper floor, where they have separate access, parking etc. Tenants have exclisive use of the garden and swimming pool. Please enquire about this offer.

LONGER STAYS

For two weeks the above figures would be reduced by 5%

For three weeks the above figures would be reduced by 10%

BOOKING

Reservations may be made by telephone, but need to be confirmed by e-mail or post. Receipt of the deposit of 30% is required to secure the booking and the balance of 70% is due four weeks before the start date. Payments made can only be refunded if written notice of cancellation is received at least four weeks before the start date.

PAYMENT

Rates and other payments are in Euros, so if you are transferring another currency please make sure that the sum amounts to the sum due in Euros. Payments may be made by bank transfer with commission and fees paid by the sender, or by personal cheque adding 1.00% to cover bank charges on a Euro cheque. If sending a Sterling cheque please add 1.50% to cover bank charges for conversion.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

A deposit of €400.00 in cash is required on arrival to cover possible damage to the property and owners' possesions. This will be refunded by cheque within two weeks of departure less any agreed deductions.

CLEANING AND LAUNDRY

The cost of cleaning and laundry is included in the above weekly rates.
