Home description
This Country House has three bedrooms, two being en-suite. The Indonesian Room is a huge bedroom with its own kitchen, a recently added bathroom and its own access from the large open terrace - ideal as separate annexe. The master suite has access onto the naya, its own dressing room and luxury bathroom. The third bedroom is upstairs with its own shower room. Large T-shaped living/dining room, rustic style kitchen and utility room. From the dining area, patio doors open onto a covered terrace (naya) with sitting area and dining area (for 6). This extends onto the 250m2 of open terracing. The property has 13m x 6.5m swimming pool (shallow & a deep end), lush lawns with palms, & a pergola for shade. Electrically operated main gates lead to a private drive up to the house, flanked by tall trees. There is masses of parking !! This villa is close to Javea and all its amenities but if you just want to relax and "chill", this is the ideal location (and house!) for you and your family. On more than one occasion, you may decide to stay at the villa all day. Enjoy a light lunch by the pool. Later go to one of the local supermarkets to choose your meat, vegetables and bread, ready for that fabulous barbecue in the evening! Relax by the pool with a glass or two of wine, and watch the sun setting behind Jesus Pobre ( a local village with 5 bars and as many restaurants!). In the cool of an evening there are miles of tracks to walk down, all well away from any main roads and traffic. A favourite with walkers is the Montgó itself. There are some bicycles but alternatively bring your bicycles with you!! The area is quite flat and so working up an appetite for that barbecue can be fun! Horse riding is a speciality, again with no traffic to worry about and acres of fields/miles of tracks to explore. You are in the country but if you need some entertainment, it is not far away!
13.5m x 6.5m pool with complete privacy and superb views!
South side of the house taken from across the driveway
The pool area again from the lawns
Main living area with leather sofas, sat tv, dvd, video

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
From Alicante in the south to Denia in the north, the Costa Blanca (North) enjoys a spectacular coastline. Rising cliffs, rocky inlets, pretty coves and beautiful sandy beaches. Spain is the most mountainous country in Europe.
The Costa Blanca enjoys a wonderful climate, being fairly hot in summer but not very cold in winter. If you want to explore the region, why not drive to Guadalest? Go inland to the Jalón Valley (sample the wine!), travel along the coast to Altea, visit Terra Mitica in Benidorm with the children! Take them to Aqualandia (water park!) and Mundomar too and enjoy the dolphins! Terra Natura (Benidorm), Vergel Safari Park (Vergel off the N332) and Aitana Safari Park (off motorway at Villajoyosa) are also a must!!
Alicante airport is 80km drive and Valencia 90km. The infrastructure in coastal Spain is now so sophisticated, travelling is a joy rather than a penance!! Empty motorways and few traffic jams!!
Javea / Montgo Valls area
The house is situated close to Javea but tucked away just outside the Old Town in the "campo" (countryside). There are neighbours but all houses are built on 10,000m2 each, so no one is overlooking you!! Large supermarkets are only a 5 minute drive away, and there is a plethora of restaurants and a few bars!
The surrounding Javea Valley area is overflowing with vineyards, orange/lemon orchards, almond/olive groves. Throughout the year, the vegetation remains green and lush! There are miles & miles of tracks for ambling, cycling, jogging, or riding without meeting an asphalt road!
The nearby Old Town of Javea, has narrow cobbled streets, intimate restaurants, interesting shops and altogether lovely buildings!. It was once a walled town, many hundreds of years ago. The Old Town has just had a "face-lift" with new pedestrian streets between the lovely old town houses. Great to explore!
Next there is Javea Port, with its small fishing fleet. Here you can enjoy fresh sea food in the local restaurants all year round. A little further on is the Marina, with many luxurious yachts moored alongside more modest vessels. Water sports can be enjoyed from one of the pebbly beaches situated between the Parador Hotel, (the Arenal) and the Port.
A very popuar part of Javea IS the Arenal's main sandy beach. The waters are shallow and very safe for bathers. Many of the beaches have been awarded the "blue flag" for being particularly clean and well maintained. A host of restaurants and bars is located along the entire length of the Arenal. In the summer evenings you can enjoy visiting the many stalls that are erected on the promenade---silver jewellery, local paintings, leather goods, clothing---perfect for "take home" gifts!
So there are many nearby attractions:-
Old Town of Javea Beaches in Javea, Denia, Calpe, Benidorm New Shopping Mall in Ondara (close to Denia) with a load of shops plus ten pin bowling, cinemas, restaurants etc Terra Mitica Theme Park & Zoo (Benidorm) Aqualandia in Benidorm (water activities) Mundomar in Benidorm (dolphin show, aquatic animals) Vergel Safari Park near Pego Aitana SafariPark (on the way to Alcoy) Ondara Riding School & Local fiestas celebrating the Moors and Christians (mid-July)
