The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The charming town of Javea (or Xabia in Valenciano) lies between the Capes of San Antonio and La Nao, on the northern section of the Costa Blanca, bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, and is sheltered from the continental winds by Mount Montgó.It is no wonder that the World Health Organization once selected Javea as having a near-perfect climate for longevity! With it's mild year-round temperatures, varying landscapes - from sandy coastlines to rugged mountain areas - and extensive tourist facilities, Javea has still managed to preserve all the charm of an ancient fishing village, and is truly the jewel in the crown of Spain's coastal communities. Javea medieval sounds echo through the historic town centre that has largely been preserved over the centuries. White house fronts adorned with wrought-iron grilles and Gothic-style windows provide a noble touch to the labyrinth of streets and diminutive plazas.

Leisure Activities: The tourist office offers free guided walks of the area in English and Spanish during the summer. Also in summer, pleasure boats sail between Cabo San Antonio and Denia up to 3 times a day. Accompanied horse rides and lessons are available at the Centro Hipico Javea. There are a number of activities for children in the Benidorm area (40 minutes by car) which include Mundomar Marine Park, Aqualandia Water Park and Terra Mitica 'historical' theme park. El Vergel safari park is 20 minutes north (near Denia) and also in the area are a number of go-karting tracks. Javea has one of the most attractive seaports along the Mediterranean, due both to its location and to its unsurpassed fishing and sports installations. The modern Yacht Club at the sports marina has nearly 300 berths and facilities for all types of water sports, sailing, fishing, scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing etc
Fiestas From 28 April – 3 May, Jesus the Nazarene must be honoured, and from 1 –8 September the patroness Our Lady of Loreto is the object of devotion. The Javea town fiesta is held during the second fortnight of July and is an occasion for feasting, dancing, parades, music and fireworks, as are the Moors & Christians parades at the end of August. During the rest of the year there are other smaller fiestas for celebration.

Nearest Airports are Alicante and Valencia. Most budget airlines fly to Alicante from many UK locations. Easy Jet and Ryan Air fly into Valencia. Both airports have a wide range of Car Hire company's.

Further details indoors: The villa is fully equipped for a family, Satellite TV, DVD, CD Player. Cot and highchair can be provied on request at a nominal fee. The fitted kitchen has all mod cons including dishwasher, microwave, electric fan assisted oven, gas hob, american fridge/freezer with ice maker and all the handy items such as toaster, kettle etc. There are three bedrooms upstairs, one with a super-king bed, twin beds and the other with a double bed. The two double rooms have en suites one with shower, whilst the other has a bath with shower over. There is another bathroom to service the other bedrooms. Downstairs there a two further bedrooms, one with king size bed and the other has twin beds. Also on this floor is the boiler room where you will find a washing machine, iron and ironing board. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinets with lamps for that homely feel. Clean linen and towels, strictly for villa use only, are provided weekly. Villa is cleaned on every changeover.
Further details outdoors: The villa is set in a large plot of 1800sq meters giving many areas for dining, relaxing and for children to play. The garden has it's own fruit trees and a wonderful mediterranean feel. On the breakfast terrace which leads off the kitchen there is a dining table and chairs, by the pool more garden furniture is provided, including sunloungers, table & chairs with parasol and that all important BBQ. And of course lets not forget the very large 12x6 pool with roman steps and underwater lights. There is secure parking in front of the house enough for 3 cars.
Further details
This a a perfect villa for a large family or 2 -3 families wishing to share. The location of the villa is very private but only a very short distance (3-4 minute drive) from all local amenties and the Arenal beach. Close by is also the Portichol beach which is only a 3 minute drive, and has fantastic snorkelling opportunties. Golf is only a 10 minute drive, green bowls 7-8 and an abundance of tennis facilities to choose from.
Conditions
On booking a 25% deposit (non-refundable) would be required to secure dates. The balance and a 250GBP security deposit would be payable 8 weeks before the first day of rental. Payable by way of cheque, cash or transfer to our British account.
Cots and Highchairs can be arranged at 12GBP each per week. Stairgates can be provides at no extra charge.
