The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Los Lagos itself is in the Montgo Natural park, the region of the Costa Blanca known as the Marina Alta. This is on the east coast of mainland Spain in the Valencian Community which consists of the provinces of Valencia, Castellon and Alicante.
The well known towns of Calpe, Altea and Benidorm are nearby, plus within easy reach are aquaparks, safari parks, amusement parks, caves and many reminders of the colourful Moorish past.
Enthusiastic walkers, bird watchers, horseriders and cyclists are also able to enjoy this Spanish experience either by the coast or in the fabulous mountains.
For those who love sports and activities, tennis, scuba diving, rock climbing, fishing, horse riding and a full range of water sports are close by.
If you wish nothing more than to relax in the sun, there are numerous beaches to choose from, in particular the wonderful sandy beaches of Jávea and Dénia are only 10 minutes away. Or you can simply relax and sunbathe around the pool.
The Javea / Jesus Pobre area
The nearest towns and villages to Los Lagos are Jesus Pobre, Gata De Gorgos, Jávea and Dénia.
Jesus Pobre
Jesus Pobre is a small charming typically traditional Spanish village. It boasts a full range of facilities: supermarket, bakery, chemist, bank, hairdresser, bars and restaurants, and can be reached by a short walk or a 3 min car ride, which means a Los Lagos guest need go no further for any requirements should the preference be to stay close to home.
Jávea (Xábia)
Jávea's coastline stretches for 25 km from the sheer high rugged cliffs of Cabo de San Antonio to the sandy Arenal beach and beyond to Cabo de la Nao, the most easterly point in Spain. To the North-East is the Montgo mountain which, at a height of 758 metres is the highest peak in the region. To the West is the wide valley of the
river Gorgos, which crosses the area from West to East. Jávea Town has 3 distinct areas: The Port, The Old Town and The Arenal.
The Port: Jávea has a thriving fishing fleet and the Port boasts a sizeable Yacht Club and boat yard. The daily fish auction attracts visitors and locals alike as every day the boats return with their daily catch of typical Mediterranean fish. The area is excellent for restaurants and bars and for trying out the local tapas or 'Menu del Dia'. There is also a beautiful promenade where visitiors can relax and watch the world go by.
The Old Town: Jávea’s Old Town is beautifully traditional and is the perfect place for a quiet stroll around the shops and historic buildings. The Church of San Bartolome and the excellent local museum are well worth a visit. The local Tourist Office nearby conducts weekly tours in English around both the Port and the Old
Town. In the summer there are many free evening concerts and events in the Church square and Port areas to delight the visitor.
The Arenal: The more modern area of Jávea, the Arenal, is a great favourite with visitors. It’s wide sweep of bay with palm trees, promenade, shops and restaurants attracts visitors from all over Spain and Europe. The excellent (and safe) white sandy beach is ideal for all standards of swimmer. For those looking for late night entertainment the nightclubs are located here.
Dénia
The Town Cente is geared more towards everyday Spanish life whilst the seafront and Marina area enjoy a wide range of restaurants with locally caught fresh fish being a specialty. The beaches to the north of Dénia are of a
remarkable beauty. The historic centre where the castle rises majestically right in the centre of town enjoys a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes offering excellent food.

Thank you for letting us rent your villa, we had a fantastic holiday, the pool and gardens were very well kept, beautiful. The villa had the best spot on the complex, as we sat on the patio watching the last bit of sun go down. The villa was very comfortable plenty of room for the six of us. We would definately go back. |

We have been going to Los Lagos on and off for the past twelve years. It is a superb location for a quiet, relaxing holiday. The town of Javea is unspoilt and only a ten minute drive away. We discovered 35 Los Lagos last year and returned again in June. This is an excellent property, well maintained and ideal for a family. I would highly recommend this property and location for anyone wanting a holiday in Spain. |
Guestbook for 35 Los Lagos
We had an amazing time; shame we had to leave! We think you have one of the best locations in Los Lagos. Already thinking of going back next year. The collection of children's toys were a bonus for our 3 year old.

Great Property!
I have stayed at this property several times and always find it clean and well maintained. It is in a great location and within 5 mintues drive time you will be in Javea old town and port where you will find great shopping and wonderful restaurants. Right outside the back terrace you will find the gardens and pool, and is a great place to spend warm spanish nights. There are some great and beautiful places to explore within a short drive.

We had a fantastic time staying at the Los Lagos apartment...the accommodation was clean and well maintained and we fell in love with the pool which is large enough so that it never feels too overcrowded -even at peak season.
We will definitely be returning and will recommend it to friends and family.
