About the home

Peaceful location with no passing traffic makes this the ideal villa to chill out. Relax on the terrace with a book in the shade of the awning or cool off in the lovely pool. The pool area offers complete privacy.

Los Coloures is a traditional style three bedroom villa, with the main living area of the villa all on one level. The front door leads in to the entrance hall with double doors going through to the very large, L-shaped lounge and dining room. A passage goes from the entrance hall to the three bedrooms (two double and one twin). The bedrooms are all spacious and furnished with comfortable beds. The master bedroom, with kingsize bed, has an en suite shower room, the other bedrooms share a separate family bathroom. All the bedrooms have air conditioning. The lounge and dining room feature a beamed ceiling, Tosca stone arches and a Tosca fireplace. There is satellite TV with some English channels. The very well equipped kitchen is off the dining area.
Air conditioning is included in the rental price 8pm to 10am 30/06/12-31/08/12 - full price bookings only. It can be made available out of this period for a supplement.

From the dining area sliding doors go out to an open terrace offering lovely views across the valley to the south and west. This open terrace is equipped with a large teak table and chairs for lazy meals, and awnings that will provide welcome shade. This will be a great place to sit and enjoy a sundowner perhaps watching the wonderful sunsets. The back door goes out to a service patio and small utility room housing the washing machine. From the lounge area sliding doors lead to the large, glazed sun room. This is very comfortably furnished and has an over-head fan and "roll-out" awnings creating a cool spot to sit, read, chat and eat in the hot summer months. The views from here, across the Jávea valley are delightful. Steps go down from the sun lounge to the swimming pool with its paved surround. Beside the pool terrace is a small "pool room", a sitting room ideal for escaping the sun, or relaxing quietly while still being close to the pool. The pool area is completely private, with a hedge to the south, walls to the east and west, and the villa itself providing protection to the north. Paths go from the pool terrace to the very extensive garden. The garden features traditional Mediterranean plants, trees and shrubs, including palms, almonds and citrus trees. There are lawned areas, and a labyrinth of gravelled paths wandering through the property.
The villa is in a quiet position at the end of a cul de sac.

A day on the Arenal beach in Jávea

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Northern Costa Blanca has long been a popular holiday destination for Spaniards and foreigners alike. The area is still famous for its Valencia oranges that are exported all over the world. Within half hour's drive is Benidorm where a fun day out is guaranteed with a visit to Terra Mitica (theme park), Aqualandia (water park), Terra Natura or Mundomar. And in the evening a trip to Benidorm Palace where a spectacular cabaret is performed - not to be missed! Visit Alicante to see the old Castle, or wander around the port. And more locally, enjoy a drive inland to picturesque Guadalest perched high above a lake. The city of Valencia has many monuments well worth a visit and the city is once again host to the European F1 Grand Prix 22nd to 24th of June 2012. Valencia is also a great place to go shopping. And not too far away is Buñol where the world famous 'Tomatina' fiesta is celebrated each year on the last Wednesday of August. It is also possible to visit Barcelona by train in a day!

The Javea / Montgo Toscamar area

Jávea has long been the destination of choice for discerning visitors who are not interested in mass-market resorts. Holidays in the area centre around the family, and visitors to the area spend hours at their private villa enjoying the privacy and their own company. For those seeking more, the Arenal beach area and the Aduanas Port areas both offer numerous bars and restaurants. There is the sandy Arenal beach, and numerous rocky coves including the beautiful Granadella beach. Boats and pedaloes are available for hire at the Arenal beach. Each year Jávea celebrates several fiestas. Ones not to be missed are San Juan, June 18th to 24th, being the main fiesta of the 'old town'. The last night boasts a terrific firework display and the burning of a 'falla'. During July there is the colourful Moors and Christians festival and 1st to 8th September is the Virgen de Loreto, port fiestas. Not to be missed is the last night, 8th September, the firework display over the fishing port is spectacular.

Fantastic Holiday -
Wonderful spacious villa, with fantastic views. Good size pool, modern kitchen, large bedrooms and living area. Good location under Montgo, very private. The gardens are lovely to walk round.
