The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Even in the winter months, the Spanish climate is very comfortable, with many golfers, for example, preferring the winter months where the daytime temperature is still frequently above 20 degrees C.

Take time to explore the history (and shops!) of Alicante and Valencia, or take a half an hour drive with the family to enjoy a fantastic day out at the Terra Mitica theme-park or Aqualand in Benidorm.

For wine lovers, a visit to one of the many bodegas (and sample the local rioja) in the Jalon valley or La Gandia is not to be missed, and make sure you sample the atmostphere of the many fiestas which occur around Spain's many public holidays.

Being equidistant from both Alicante and Valencia, the area offers enormous variety, both along the coast and within the interior. The long hot summers are renown and the mild winters provide an additional opportunity to explore the region and enjoy its many sporting activities.

The historical towns of Xativa, Denia and Altea are all within easy reach, as is the island of Ibiza.
Javea (pronounced Havia and spelt locally Xabia) has been officially classified by the World Health Authority as 'environmentally near perfect' and has been designated a conservation area with no high-rise construction permitted.

The region is known as the 'oasis of Spain' due to an abundance of olive groves, almond trees, citrus fruits, vines and pine forests making the area green all year. Javea enjoys an average of 300 days of sunshine and it's said this is where the sun goes on holiday. Known as the White Coast there are hundreds of beautiful coves with Blue Flag status stretched along its spectacular coastline.

Javea / Costa Nova area

Javea / Costa Nova

The charming town of Javea lies between the two headlands of San Antonio and La Nao, mid-way between Valencia and Alicante. The old town which is one of the three distinct parts of town includes a fascinating Port area which has a great selection of bars and restaurants along the seafront and also of course the fabulous bustling working harbor, There are plenty of activities to do like walking, golf, scuba diving, swimming and sun bathing are the obvious, but there are plenty of others, also the famous Arsenal is another .Javea is surrounded by many towns and villages worth visiting, Moraira and Denia are both a short 10 minutes drive, both worth visiting. You can even take a day trip to Ibiza on a car ferry from Denia. Benidorm is approximately 30 minutes drive with large shopping mall, Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia Water Park next door to Mundomar a large Dolphin and Sea World park. Travelling North you have Vergel Safari Park just 30 minutes away.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia/ Alicante Province region

Javea on the Costa Blanca gives you a choice of beaches for those seeking water sports such as wind surfing, jet biking or sailing. The warm seas are perfect for diving, water skiing and all water sports. The Costa Blanca has many golf courses in Javea ,Moiraira , Altea La Sella (Denia) and the Seve Balesteros designed course at Oliva both around 30 minutes away. There are also very good courses at Valencia and Alicante, in particular the famous 18-hole championship links course at El Saler, for those who don’t mind a drive before a round. There are many other sporting activities with football, tennis, bowls etc- you name it and it's never too far away. Apart from the sporting activities there is plenty for the kids to do should they get bored with the swimming pool and beaches. Less than 30 minutes away there are many attractions for all ages including a Safari Park, 'Mundomar' an Animal Water Park, 'Aqualandia' a theme Swimming Park and 'Terra Mitica' a large Fun Park, boasting some of the largest rides in Europe.

Javea / Cap de la Nao

Javea is famous and well known for its sandy beaches, it also offers great restaurants and bars. Cap de la Nao is a local beauty spot attracting many of people with the lighthouse overlooking the Mediterranean, also offering nature reserve the stunning scenic headland is Spain’s most easterly point and on a clear day it is possible to see all the way to Ibiza over 100 km’s away. It offers many beautiful walks with several viewing points which, without exception, provide breathtaking views of the cliffs and coves allowing access to the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. There are numerous activities that you can enjoy on the breathtaking bays of la Granadella, la Barraca and Ambolo are ideal for swimming, and diving and and as most of them accommodate bars and restaurants you will never find your self with nothing to do. Less than 5 minutes drive are the lively beach areas of the Arsenal with the port and old town beyond.
