About the home

Ideally located close to many of the beautiful coves and beaches of Javea yet only 6Kms from the bustling Arenal beach with its many restaurants and nightlife.

The large pool (9m x 4.5m) is surrounded by a large paved terrace and a pergola giving extra shade, the ideal place to relax whilst keeping an eye on the kids in the pool.

Jávea is a great location for a villa holiday as you can chill out in the privacy of your own villa or join in with all the fun at the beach area. Just half an hour by car are many attractions, Aqualandia water park, Terra Mítica theme park, Benidorm Palace cabaret plus lots more.

A lovely modern three bedroom villa in Jávea, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Situated in Balcon al Mar the villa is close to two supermarkets, a number of restaurants, and within easy reach of several beaches.
The front door leads to a small entrance hall with an arch off to the right leading to the spacious and bright lounge and dining room. A door from the entrance hall leads conveniently to the kitchen, and this is separated by an attractive arch from the dining area. The kitchen is well equipped including a dishwasher.
The lounge and dining room are comfortably furnished. A feature of the lounge is the Tosca stone fireplace. An overhead fan is useful for the hot summer months. Doors lead from the lounge to the large covered terrace.
A passage leads from the dining area to the three bedrooms, one with en suite shower room, and the family bathroom. The bedrooms are all equipped with air conditioning, included in the rental in the hot summer months (8pm to 10am 30/06/12-31/08/12).
The villa is also equipped with central heating (available as an extra), making it perfect for short or long stays in the winter.
The property is fully fenced and gated, with ample parking space for 2 cars.

Further details outdoors:
The covered terrace adjoining the lounge is furnished with comfortable armchairs for relaxing in the shade, and a table and chairs for those al fresco meals. Steps go down from the terrace to the garden and swimming pool.
The garden is well maintained, featuring a small lawn, and flower beds with Mediterranean flowers and shrubs. There is an extensive paved area around the big swimming pool, with a pergola providing extra shade near the lawn. There are plenty of sun loungers and a table and chairs with a parasol.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Northern Costa Blanca has long been a popular holiday destination for Spaniards and foreigners alike. The area is still famous for its Valencia oranges that are exported all over the world. Within half hour's drive is Benidorm where a fun day out is guaranteed with a visit to Terra Mitica (theme park), Aqualandia (water park), Terra Natura or Mundomar. And in the evening a trip to Benidorm Palace where a spectacular cabaret is performed - not to be missed! Visit Alicante to see the old Castle, or wander around the port. And more locally, enjoy a drive inland to picturesque Guadalest perched high above a lake. The city of Valencia has many monuments well worth a visit and the city is once again host to the European F1 Grand Prix 22nd to 24th of June 2012. Valencia is also a great place to go shopping. And not too far away is Buñol where the world famous 'Tomatina' fiesta is celebrated each year on the last Wednesday of August. It is also possible to visit Barcelona by train in a day!

The Javea / Balcon Al Mar area

Jávea has long been the destination of choice for discerning visitors who are not interested in mass-market resorts. Holidays in the area centre around the family, and visitors to the area spend hours at their private villa enjoying the privacy and their own company. For those seeking more, the Arenal beach area and the Aduanas Port areas both offer numerous bars and restaurants. There is the sandy Arenal beach, and numerous rocky coves including the beautiful Granadella beach, near to Villa Sonata. Boats and pedaloes are available for hire at the Arenal beach. Each year Jávea celebrates several fiestas. Ones not to be missed are San Juan, June 18th to 24th, being the main fiesta of the 'old town'. The last night boasts a terrific firework display and the burning of a 'falla'. During July there is the colourful Moors and Christians festival and 1st to 8th September is the Virgen de Loreto, port fiestas. Not to be missed is the last night, 8th September, the firework display over the fishing port is spectacular.

Relaxing -
The service was first class.
The home was brilliant everything we wanted for a family holiday.
Location was a bit further out than we had wanted but as we booked late we were lucky to have this villa.
The best was villa and costa blanca area. The worst was thunder storms and hail stones twice in the 10 days we were ther but that was nododys fault !!!

Complete satisfaction at sonata -
Our second visit to Sonata was even better than our first. The overall ambience of the Villa could not,in our opinion, be bettered.
The cleanliness,furnishings and appliances of Sonata gave it an very homely feel together with the excellent flowers and shrubs.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Javea which we hope will be in Sonata
