Home description

Our traditional Spanish Finca (Farmhouse sleeps 8) recently refurbished, is peacefully situated between the coastal towns of Denia and Javea and only 10 mins by car from the glorious golden sands of Javea. Surrounded by Orange and Almond groves, the property enjoys safe enclosed gardens (perfect for children) where the geraniums and bougainvillea bloom all year round. Its South facing Nayas (covered terraces) overlook the swimming pool. The Finca comes with Complimentary Wireless internet for use with your laptop, games console and dvd player. Tennis is available next door at 5€ an hour rackets provided. The breathtaking countryside can easily be explored on foot from the door with the Monto National Park just accross the road..

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Whether explored by car, on foot or by bicycle this region, described by the World Health Organisation as near perfect, boasts 320 days of sunshine a year. It is a green country without the extremes of heat and drought suffered by other coastal regions. Whilst providing all facilities the area is unspoilt and un-commercialised retaining the tranquillity and warm hospitality of traditional Spain.


Javea / Montgo Valls area

Javea and Denia have fascinating old ports, narrow winding streets, ancient castles and fortifications, colourful markets and an abundance of fiestas. Gata just beyond the little village of Jesus Pobre is famous for its basket ware and ceramics. Travel inland and experience breathtaking mountain views and village life unchanged for centuries, along the coast unspoilt bays, rocky coves and headlands lead you towards the noisier delights of Benidorm with its theme parks Terra Mitica and Aqualandia.


How to get there

Javea is mid way between Alicante and Valencia airports about 90kms or just over an hour in the car. Flights can be booked independently and easily using "Skyscanner" http://www.skyscanner.net. This company will find the best value flight from any airport in Europe. Some of the flight operators can provide special deals on car hire, for example Ryanair partner with Hertz and are very competitive. If you would prefer to hire a car once you are in Javea, Javea Cars will deliver to the Finca if they know well in advance. www.javeacars.com. This company is english speaking and, the service is very good. If you need transport from/to the airport there are a few local people who will gladly do this for you at about 80€ per journey. Taxis from the airport are a little more expensive but usually plentiful.

Our Beautiful Finca built late 1800's has a wealth of charm sadly not seen in modern Spanish properties. The property has traditional Tosca stone arches, authentic tiles and thick stone walls. It has been fully restored with a modern Kitchen and bathrooms. The Finca has an en-suite Bedroom on the first floor with a large private terrace over looking the Gata Valley. The second double Bedroom is off the inner lounge and is suitable for the elderly. (Easy access) The remaining bedroom is ideal for children. These two rooms share the second Bathroom. A cot with bedding is available. All bedrooms are equipped with fans and heaters.

The Finca has extensive walled private gardens. There is parking for at least three cars within the grounds. Surrounded by Orange and Almond groves, the property enjoys gardens where the geraniums and bougainvillea bloom all year round. There is an area of lawn for children to play, extensive terrcaed areas around the pool. The whole plot is level and suitable for the elderly.
The Finca has generous living accommodation.


Further details

The Finca is available for a minimum of one week only, Two week peak season. While our change over days are flexible we try to keep free days in-between lettings to a minimum. Clean linen and indoor towels will be provided weekly. Hot water is provided by two gas water heaters. Spare gas bottles will be provided, extra bottles are available from the local shop, cost approx 11€. Winter lets (October to March) are subject to a 20€ per person per week for use of heaters and supply of logs. Tennis rackets are available from the Finca free of charge the Court (next door) is charged at 5€ per hour. The swimming pool is not heated but is very pleasant to swim in from the end of April to early October. Complimentary Wireless Internet is available so please bring a laptop. All normal electricity charges are included. Baby sitting can be arranged.


Conditions

Strictly no smoking except on the balcony and in the garden areas.
Refundable breakages deposit of £250 required before arrival with payment, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). A larger deposit may be required in some cirumstances at the discretion of the advertiser.
30% of rental fee due 8 weeks before your stay to secure booking. Bookings taken within 8 weeks of arrival to be paid in full.
