The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Javea has something to offer everyone: beaches and coves and historical sites to visit and wonderful walks. The town is divided into three distinct sections. There is the old town, with its narrow cobbled streets and its monuments of spanish history and culture.
The town has a rich culinary tradition which has been entirely preserved and which can be sampled in the form of 'tapas' in most bars in the town . The port area is still a working fishing port and is a delightful place to visit with its mixture of fish markets and seafront bars and cafes. Every year Javea's beaches are awarded the blue flag of the European union. The bustling 'arenal' beach offers fine sand and shallow waters which are nice play areas for children. Restaurants, cafes, shops and ample parking facilities.
Javea / Montgo area
Outings within only 25 minutes drive there are theme parks in benidorm: Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park with superslides and Mundomar [animal park, dolphins, seals etc] the new science & oceanographic [500 different fish] parks at valencia are worth a trip.
The terrain of the Montgo and Jalon valleys provide the perfect environment for walking. The waterfalls at the Fonts d'Algar are a 30 minute drive from the villa . The hilltop town of Guadalest is a scenic hour away. Ibiza and Majorca are both just a short ferry ride away with crossings leaving Denia harbour daily. During the summer there many wonderful fiestas to see. Golf information at the La Sella golf resort is a 5 minute drive away.
How to get there
Approxmately 1 hour in either direction from the airports of Valencia north or Alicante in the south.
The a-7 motorway takes you most of way in both directions this is a easy drive. We will send you detailed map and directions on booking.
Many budget airlines fly to Alicante and a few to Valencia. These include easyjet.com, bmibaby.com, ryanair.com and many others.
It is very easy to book carhire from either airport the prices are much lower than the uk. You can book on line with out paying a deposit. You pay on arrival.
The best carhire we use is drivespain.com. They are a good cab service in this area and a cabs can be ordered by telephone at any time .
