Benefitting from the award winning gardens of Los Lagos, with the lake and amazing lagoon pool, the ground floor bungalow/apartment is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Popular with familes as the wonderful sandy beaches of Javea and Denia are also only 15 minutes away, it is also ideally positioned to explore the area with its many attractions. Or you can simply relax and soak up the glorious environment.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Los Lagos is located in the region of the Costa Blanca known as the Marina Alta. This is situated on the east coast of mainland Spain in the Valencian Community, which consists of the provinces of Valencia, Castellon and Alicante.

The well known towns of Calpe, Altea, Benidorm and the beautiful and dramatic Guadalest are within an hours drive, plus Aquaparks, Safari Parks, Amusement Parks, caves and many reminders of the colourful Moorish past. Enthusiastic walkers, bird watchers and cyclists are also able to able to enjoy this Spanish experience either by the coast or in the fabulous mountains inland.

There are many facilities in the area, including the excellent local golf courses of Javea and La Sella, good walking in the Montgo Park, diving centres, horse riding, water sports and more. Throughout the year there are exciting fiestas with parades, fireworks, bull-running, dancing etc, both in Javea and in the neighbouring towns of Denia, Moraira, Teulada and Benissa. Most of the local towns have their own market day for vegetables, and the flea market or Rastro on Saturday in the wine growing area of the Jalon valley is a great favourite. The Co-operativo in Jalon offers a great opportunity to taste and buy the excellent local wines.


Javea / Jesus Pobre area

A small local village, Jesus Pobre is a charming traditional Spanish village but do not be fooled by the sleepy exterior. It boasts a full range of facilities which means the visitor need go no further for any requirements should the preference be to stay close to home.

Jįvea still has a thriving fishing fleet and the port also boasts a sizeable Yacht Club and boat yard. The daily fish auction attracts visitors and locals alike as every day the boats return with their daily catch of typical Mediterranean fish. This is an excellent area for Restaurants and bars and for trying out the local tapas or 'Menu del Dia'.

Javea old town is approximately 1km inland from the port and is an interesting place for a quiet stroll around the shops. There are many old buildings including an excellent Museum, and the Church of San Bartolome is well worth a visit. The local Tourist Office nearby conducts weekly tours in English around both the Port and the Old Town. In the summer there are many free evening concerts and events in the Church square and Port areas to delight the visitor.

The more modern area of the Arenal is a great favourite with summer visitors as it offers an excellent and safe sandy beach, with cafes, shops, restaurants and nightclubs. The wide sweep of the bay with palm trees and promenade attract families from all over Spain and much of Europe.

Fly to either Alicante or Valencia - both are are an easy car journey of about 1 hour. Flights to Valencia are often cheaper. Cheap flights are available from Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch and Thomson to name a few.
Los Lagos is easily accesible from the main A7 motorway which runs up and down the Costa Blanca. Its very easy to find and an ideal location from which to explore the area.
Its easy to pick up a hire car from either airport. Javea Cars, Autos Javea and Solmar are 3 local firms.

The accommodation comprises of a shady patio area at the front entrance to the property, entry through an iron security gate and door into an entrance hall which leads to a fully equipped separate Kitchen on the left and the Lounge/Dining Area to the front.

The bungalow has a phone line and ADSL connection so you can bring your laptop and plug in to the web if you really can't leave it all behind.

The Lounge and Dining room has a dining table and chairs, a sofa and two armchairs and is fully equipped with TV and DVD player (only for watching DVDs) and CD/Tape/Radio Music Centre. A ceiling fan and hot/cold aircon unit keep it beautifully cool and for winter there is a traditional log burning stove. From the Lounge there is access to the Bedrooms and Bathroom.

Bedroom One has a double bed, Bedroom Two has two twin beds and both have a chest of drawers and fitted wardrobes. The bathroom has a full bath with Shower, Basin, WC and Bidet. Both bedrooms are equipped with hot and cold air con units.

Double doors from the lounge open up onto a crescent shaped terrace with large dining table and chairs allowing you to enjoy all your meals in the sunshine. At the foot of a sweeping stone staircase is entry to the beautiful gardens of Los Lagos via your own private little garden.

Casa Evangelina has its own small private area of garden with a BBQ and two sun loungers. From your garden you enter the gardens of Los Lagos which means 'The Lakes' , and is made up of an enormous lagoon style swimming pool, plus ponds and streams with tinkling fountains set in lush tropical gardens below a magnificent mountain backdrop. For lovers of nature there are many defined walking paths in the natural park and valley.

At the entrance of the property there is plenty of space for parking just feet from the front allowing easy unloading of suitcases etc


Further details

Casa Evangelina is available for holiday lets during the Spring, Summer and Autumn seasons. It can also be reserved for longer term lets usually from Autumn through to Spring. Please feel free to enquire and we will endeavour to meet your request.

You will be sent detailed directions on receipt of full payment and I, the owner will be there to welcome you on your arrival.

Linen and towels changed once per week on lets of 2 weeks or more. Beach towels not provided.

10% discount for returning clients.

Possibility of renting other properties on Los Lagos for groups of familes wishing to stay together but in separate apartments, contact me for details, 1, 2 and 3 bed accommodation available.

A basic welcome pack is included in the rental price but you can request additional items from a list which will be charged accordingly.


Conditions

Rentals run Saturday to Saturday but special requests will be considered.
Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.
Refundable breakages deposit of £50 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
25% of rental fee due at time of booking with the balance due six weeks before your stay.
