About the home

La Casita was built in 1984 by a renowned local architect and developer for his daughter, so the design and finish is superb. We've owned the property for 11 years and it sits directly under the eye of Montgo in a national park in an area of natural outstanding beauty. The sitting room is large and beautifully appointed with a high beamed ceiling and lovely fireplace. In 2010 we purchased a lovely new 3m long corner sofa, a separate leather chair and some nice leather poofs for the sitting room together with a new flat screen TV and DVD player and a Bose iPod speaker. Note - both TVs have USB ports so you can take movies down on a stick / hard drive.

It has a large traditional fully fitted kitchen and utility room. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, the two other bedrooms share a large 2nd bathroom. Both bathrooms were new in 2011, with marble tiles throughtout, under-floor heating and the very highest quality fittings. All three bedrooms have built in wardrobes. In the master there's a flat screen tv with dvd player and a safe. There are double beds in the two main bedrooms. In the kid's room we have a good quality bunk bed, and a single bed with a second single bed that sits under it. It pulls out easily and has legs so they can become two singles or a double when pushed together.

The naya, garden, pool and outside BBQ areas are sensational and need to be seen to be believed. The garden offers total calm and privacy and is not overlooked at any point. Over the years the villa has hosted many guests and a number of celebrities and the feedback is always the same. PERFECT, we can't wait to come back!

Facilities

As this has been our family holiday home, the villa is furnished to a high standard and in a lovely traditional Spanish style. There is a decent set of golf clubs with a carry bag which you're welcome to use. The nearest golf course at La Sella is a five minute drive and they have a driving range that's open to the public.

Further details outdoors:
The garden, pool and outside eating areas are delightful and offer peace and quiet and total privacy. You cannot see another villa or been seen once through the gates. The pool man visits twice a week to ensure the pool is always perfect and the gardener attends every week.

A deposit of 25% is required in order to reserve and book the villa and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. The balance will be required 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday.

Linen, towels and beach towels provided. Travel cot linen to be provided by yourselves.

Change-over must take place on a FRIDAY (we've found flights are generally cheaper than Saturday) The villa is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure in order for cleaning and linen change to take place.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Javea (pronounced Havia and spelt locally Xabia) is known as the Peal of the Costa Blanca. It's officially classified by the World Health Authority as 'environmentally near perfect' and designated a conservastion area with no high-rise construction permitted.

The region is known as the 'oasis of Spain' due to an abundance of olive groves, almond trees, citrus fruits, vines and pine forests making the area green all year. Javea enjoys more days of sunshine than anywhere else in Spain with an average of 300 days, and it's said this is where the sun goes on holiday. Known as the White Coast there are hundreds of beautiful coves with Blue Flag status stretched along its spectacular coastline.

The Javea / Montgo area

Originally an old fishing village, Javea is now split into three parts. The old town is steeped in history with its famous church, whitewashed buildings and narrow streets. The harbour with its fishing boats, nightly fish markets and a large marina, and the Arenal, a sandy beach with lots of restaurants, bars and a buzzing beach life. The crystal clear Mediterranean coastline stretches for 25kms with a variery of sandy, rocky and pebbled beaches.

Local leisure facilities include tennis, golf, water sports and horse riding. In particular by car, Javea Golf Club is 10 minutes, La Sella Golf 10 minutes, Moraira Golf 25 minutes and Oliva Nova Golf 45 minutes. On a daily basis there are weekly markets in many of the nearby villages and towns
