About the home

Javea has been a popular holiday resort for over 30 years, a garden next to the Mediterranean with its white sand beach, working port and bustling old town there is something for everyone.

Bathed by the warm waters of the med, Javea has one of the finest climates in Spain acknowledged by the World Health Organization as having the purest air qualities.

The activities on offer range from golf to scuba diving with plenty in-between.

El Dorado is an imposing villa immaculately presented and elegantly furnished.

Perfect if you like all day sunshine but also suitable for those who like the shade of the Naya (outside lounge)and mature trees. Enjoy the morning sunshine sitting on the front terrace, looking over to the sea, - even pick yourself a fresh grapefruit or orange for breakfast, when they are in season.

The pool, Naya and outdoor kitchen with Spanish Barbecue, enable you to live ' alfresco' the outside kitchen has every essential and luxury including an ice maker and it's own dishwasher!

The pool is heated year round.

El Dorado has a luxury, which we find an essential in Spain during the Summer, Ice Makers in both the inside and outside kitchens, just fill it with water, turn on and you will have ice when ever you need it.

Don't carry more than you need to, we provide pool towels as well as all your normal linen. The washing machine (and tumble drier if necessary) means you can wash anything you need.

If you need to keep in touch we have a have a wireless broadband connection for use with your own lap top.

42" Flat screen television in the sitting room with English TV.

Downstairs we have a television set up with an X Box for the children - there are a selection of games but if you want to you can take your own favorite with you.

There are a selection of board games, cards, puzzles and books for you to use and enjoy.

There is a travel cot and high chair for use by babies and small children.

Further details outdoors:
At night the pool is illuminated and the gardens are lit so you can sit out and enjoy them while you have a barbecue or just a drink.

The grounds are planted with native trees including a 1,000 year old Olive tree, orange, lemon and many varieties of shrubs and flowers for you to enjoy.

The Niya or outdoor lounge, has sofa's and occasional tables so that you can sit and have a drink, a game of cards, or read in comfort.

Good quality hard wood sun loungers, comfortable cushions with clean towelling covers put on for each group of guests, for lying by the pool.

Large hard wood circular dining table and chairs, with cushions, next to the pool and outside kitchen.

Swing chair for relaxing in.

We have a selection of inflatables, buckets and spades etc for guests to use.

The swimming pool is heated all year round - guests were swimming on Halloween and new years eve!

There is a travel cot and a high chair in the villa.

Conditions

The living room and kitchen are upstairs in El Dorado with access onto a large balcony where you can sit and see the sea view in the distance.

Smoking - we ask guests not to smoke in the house. There are covered terraces upstairs and down with seating where you can smoke, and enjoy the views.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Javea is in the shelter of the Montgo mountain, the Mediterranean laps the shores. The climate in Javea does not normally drop below 15 degrees even in the winter.

July and August are very hot - which is why the Spanish take a siesta during the hottest part of the day - perfect for the true sun worshipper !

The Javea / Pinomar area

The Arenal beach is a sandy, clean beach safe for children, with lots of restaurants and shops along the pedestrian only promenade.

At night during the summer craft stalls and children's amusements set up stall selling a variety of souvenirs.

The port has a fish market, restaurants, cafes, shops etc as well as a busy harbour area.

The old town is very picturesque with narrow streets and old houses. It is still a busy working town with some nice little individual shops and has an excellent market on a Thursday.

Fly to Alicante 96 km or Valencia 112 km - Javea is about 1 hour 20 minutes from either direction.

All the budget airlines fly into Alicante.

Everyone booking receives directions, a map and guide book of the area and 10 euros for the toll!!

21.10.2006 - Sitting here wishing we could stay another week! "Absolutely fabulous" villa, could not fault it. So nice to have such a big pool, plenty of space to sun-bathe and chill! So may eating places spoilt for choice. Thank you. Dave, Becky, Amelia, Alice and Robert (83 yrs and swam for 1st time in 20 yrs!)

2012 - 7 of the weeks booked this year are guests returning to El Dorado for a third or fourth visit!

Flexible changeover days November, December, January and February. Peak season Saturday change over.

** Pool heating is charged at £150 per week between the end of October and beginning of April.

When the balance is paid two months before the start of your holiday we require a £250 breakages deposit which is fully refundable, assuming their are no breakages or excessive cleaning. Please read booking conditions on our own site.
