We received warm welcome from the owners Jane & Bryan, and the complementary pizzas & potato wedges they made for our arrival was an incredible gesture and took the pressure off cooking on our first night after the drive down. The gite was a lot larger than we expected and the photos on the website don't do it any justice, it is by far more outstanding and with all the equipment and comfort that is needed for a two week family holiday. The pool and terrace area was breath-taking, with amazing views across the rural countryside. The kids love splashing in the pool and it was very refreshing to cool off, on the very hot sunny days. The garden was all fenced off, so was very safe for the children and there was plenty for the kids to do with the trampoline, sandpit and swings. Jane and Bryan even provided a baby swing for our toddler which we felt was a very thoughtful touch. The various lakes with the beaches in the area provided the children with enjoyment and it just goes to show that you don't need the go to the coast to build sandcastles! The towns and villages we visited gave us a wide insight in the French life. We had some lovely meals out and the 'plat de jours' give a taste of French cuisine and are extremely good value for money. The location is very relaxing and it's the ideal holiday to unwind and take time out to enjoy a good book and spend time with the family. We would definitely recommend this gite to our friends and family, and we have already booked for August. |

its all Perfick! As Pa Larkin would say from the Darling buds of May. From Start to finish everything was great! We got a friendly and genuine welcome from Brian, Jane and their children. A lovely welcome drink or two as well, which was a nice touch. We were home from home before you could say cheese and wine. The Property was clean, tidy and very well presented. Everything we needed was in the property and on the one occasion it wasn't Brian sorted it for us almost immediately. There isn't anything bad I can say about this place. The Property was excellent, Brian and Jane were lovely, the area is beautiful with lots to explorer and do. If I was being really picky then maybe a larger flat screen TV would of been nice for movies in the evening but I'm told this is being done anyway. We had our three small children with us. They loved the swimming pool and garden with lots for them to do. We will be returning soon. Many thanks Brian and Jane. |
