Set in a tranquil and established area of private villas, with private terraces and spectacular views, including the main terrace with an 8mx4m pool and Outside Bar. The Villa is within 10 minutes walk of restaurants, 10 minutes walk to the village of Alcalali, and 20-30 mins drive to the best beaches on the Costa Blanca at Calpe, Moraira, and Javea.
From the gated parking area the entrance to the villa leads directly into the spacious living and dining area with wood burning fireplace, then through double doors onto the enclosed balcony with spectacular views of the Vall de Pop (Jalon Valley), Col de Rates and the magnificent Sierra Bernia.
Outside, the villa is surrounded by private terraces leading down to the main pool terrace, so there is always a sunny (or shady) spot to sit and relax at any time of day. From the top terrace with barbecue, stone table and bench shaded by mature pine trees, steps lead down via a small breakfast terrace with open valley views, to the inviting 8m x 4m full size pool and then on to the outside bar and w.c. There is also a utility room with washing machine and ironing facilities..

A cot and high chair are available on request (at a small extra charge). Please note guests should bring their own cot bedding.
The living room is equipped with Satellite TV, DVD and video player for evening entertainment, and has a comfort cooling/heating system. The bedrooms have electric heaters and large fans. The American kitchen leads directly from the living and dining area and is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, gas cooker with oven, microwave oven and all the utensils necessary for convenient cooking. The kitchen shares the magnificent outlook over the valley and working at the kitchen sink need never be a chore with views like this.
Three steps lead from the main living area up to the two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom to the right has an en-suite bathroom, plenty of storage and a double bed. The second bedroom to the left has twin single beds and, like the master bedroom, is furnished with traditional Spanish solid wood. (There are two sofa beds on the enclosed balcony, providing private sleeping for two.) There is a separate shower room with w.c..The villa rental includes all linen and towels for your convenience.
Further details outdoors:
The pool has underwater lighting and an outdoor shower. Nearby a further terrace, shaded by a porch roof, provides access to the Outside Bar area and WC. There is a large utility room with washing machine. Steps then lead back up to the parking area which is large enough for two cars.
There are six sun loungers, three sets of tables and chairs.
Further details
A welcome basket of basic groceries and all towels and linen (including beach towels) are included in the rental. If required we can arrange fully guided walks of the local area. We can arrange cycle hire or for the more adventurous horse riding either as a lesson at the local riding school or a hack in the beautiful countryside. As we live in the area we are only a phone call away for any extra information or help you may require.
Conditions
The price includes all gas and electricity, fuel for the open fire is available at an extra charge. The beds will be made up with sheets and duvets when you arrive, bathroom and beach towels and kitchen linen are also provided. For bookings of longer than one week a complete weekly linen change is included.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region


Between the Costa del Azahar, north of Denia and Costa Calida, south of Torrevieja, lies the Costa Blanca. It is not as rugged or as cold in the winter as the Costa Brava, north of Costa Blanca, nor is it as humid or hot in the summer as the Costa del Sol, in the south. The Costa Blanca has the best all year round temperatures and the World Health Organisation has said that the Costa Blanca has the healthiest climate of the Mediterranean.
The Costa Blanca has 101km of magnificent beaches and coves and the region has more Blue Flags for safe and clean bathing than anywhere else on the continent. In the winter months the Costa Blanca is lucky enough to have nearly as many sunny days as in the summertime.
The Jalon / Alcalali area
This is your opportunity to take a relaxing break in the peace of inland Spain, enjoying the traditional culture of the Jalon valley, where the local Valencian people maintain the traditions of their forefathers. From Fiestas to celebrate the local patron saints, traditional pilota (handball) in the village streets, the annual grape harvest gathered at the winery in Jalon to produce appellation standard vintages, to the magical almond blossom filling the valley at the beginning of the year, this is a very special place to visit and enjoy.
The nearest beach resort of Calpe is approx 15 minutes drive, with beautiful blue flag beaches and facilities, It also retains its original fishing port famous for its numerous excellent seafood restaurants. The other popular resorts of Denia, Javea and Moraira are within 30 minutes drive. All are well worth visiting. Denia has a wonderful marina and all have excellent restaurants and shops.
It is 5 mins walk to the nearest restaurant and approx 10 mins walk to Alcalali where there are numerous restaurants and bars, 2 shops, bakers, bank, tobacconist, chemist and hairdressers. 5 mins drive to the larger village of Jalon with more restaurants, bars, bodegas, small supermarket, shops, banks and a weekly rastro (flea market).

The airports of Alicante and Valencia are both around 1hour 15 minutes by car. Taxis are available from the airport.
Car hire is highly recommended to explore this beautiful region, which we can arrange if required although it is easily available at both airports.

Changeover day is normally Friday to Friday but please call if alternative is required, also short breaks may be available.
A deposit of 30% of the total rental (subject to a minimum of £100) will be payable on booking
A separate deposit cheque of £150 is required to cover the cost of any damage or extra cleaning. You are responsible for the reasonable care of the villa and its contents and we request that all damage is notified to us immediately. Please include this cheque with your final payment, naturally if no damage or extra cleaning is incurred the cheque will be returned un-cashed within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday.
