This beautiful country villa is situated in the heart of the Jalon Valley with wonderful mountain and valley views. The village of Jalon is just a 15 minute walk (1500 metres) and has many welcoming restaurants and tapas bars in addition to a selection of shops and bodegas as well as a weekly flea market.

Within a short drive (15 minutes) of Finca Barranco you will find the fine beaches of Calpe, Moraira, Javea and Denia and you are ideally located for an enjoyable trip through the valleys and over the mountains in this most glorious part of Spain.

On the ground floor of the villa there are 2 bedrooms both with twin beds and en-suite facilities and on the upper floor there are a further 2 bedrooms both with double beds and en-suite facilities. The kitchen is a good size and fully equipped with a small breakfast area and a door to the garden. The dining room has a large table for 8 people and leads onto the sitting room which was part of the original 200 year old casita. To the exterior of the property you will find a larger than average swimming pool that is very private, covered and oopen terraces with tables and chairs and a BBQ area with gas barbecue. There is plenty of secure covered parking. A free welcome pack is included and a cot is available.

The Jalon Valley is a wine growing area and Finca Barranco is set amidst the vineyards and yet only 5 minutes’ drive away from the traditional market town of Jalon and the picturesque village of Lliber. In Jalon you will find the taps bars, restaurants, shops and a large supermarket. Other attractions include the bodegas with wine tasting and very reasonably priced wine made from the local grapes that are harvested in august. During fiesta time the village streets are generously decorated to create a festive mood for a giant paella to be cooked in the village square and bull running. On Saturday there is a 'flea' market and on Tuesday a general market.

Numerous restaurants, some with live entertainment, offer local, national and international cuisine. A trip through the valleys and up into the mountains among the pine forests and the almond and citrus groves provides some spectacular scenery, and there are always places to stop for a drink and a meal.

Benidorm is a short drive away and offers excellent shopping and nightlife plus the new Terra Mitica Disney style theme park. Coach excursions are available to these and all the other popular attractions.
