About the home

La Callada is offered by Marina Alta Holidays and is a stunning detached family home in a sought after location, within walking distance of the popular village of Jalon with variety of amenities - shops, bars, restaurants and bodegas. The finca has two double bedrooms and a third with bunk beds, perfect for the children. There is a covered naya - excellent for outside dining which has beautiful views of the countryside. The house is light and airy and has a log burning fire for those cosy nights in. Beautiful enclosed gardens with a vast array of palms, trees and shrubs and private garage and driveway. The lovely communal pool of Jalon is reached via a short walk along country lanes. This is a large pool with grassed area and terraces perfect for relaxing. The coast is a mere 20 minutes away. Bed linen and towels are provided. Please note that we do not provide beach towels. The property will be fully cleaned in anticipation of your arrival and linen will be changed on a weekly basis. Personal meet and Greet Service included.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Marina Alta has been popular with tourists for many years; Hemingway being one of Calpe´s frequent visitors during the 1930´s. A mild all year round climate and an average of 320 days sunshine each year adds to the attraction. The World Health Organisation has designated this area as possessing one of the finest climates in the world and the EU has awarded many of the beaches in the area the prestigious "blue flag" for water quality and cleanliness for several years running.

The landscape of the Marina Alta is blessed with miles of unspoilt beaches at Calpe, Moraira and Javea and wonderful rugged mountain vistas. Slightly inland can be found the traditionally beautiful Jalon and Orba valleys, the green paradise with a wealth of citrus, almond and olive trees and a carpet of vines producing wine for the award winning bodegas where samples are freely available!

This area is a unique place that every traveller should visit to sample the beauty, the traditions, the numerous fiestas, the handicrafts, the excellent local cuisine and experience the warmth and friendliness of its people.

Many activities are available : golf, horse riding, sailing, trekking, cycling, walking, climbing, scuba diving, quad biking and, for the less energetic - a host of local markets. All can be experienced year round making this the perfect location to holiday in or relocate to.

Larger places such as Gandia, Denia, Altea and Benidorm are just a short drive away from the peace and tranquillity of this area.

The Jalon area

This wonderful property is situated in the heart of the beautiful Jalon Valley. The finca is located 20 minutes inland from Spain's Costa Blanca which offers some of the best beaches, scenery and climates that Spain has to offer. Spectacular mountains and unspoilt plains of olive trees, orange groves, vineyards, raisins and almonds surround the Jalon valley.
The area is renowned for it’s natural beauty and has a very hospitable nature.
Just a few kilometres from the finca are the unspoilt traditional Spanish villages of Alcalali, Orba and Parcent with their vast choice of bars, restaurants and café’s that offer both Spanish and International cuisine. The main town of Jalon is famous for its production of wine and produces around 2.5 million litres a year, you can sample the Moscatel for which the area is famed as well as other wines and spirits at the local bodegas or better still accompanied with tapas at one of the local bars.
The area offers a wealth of amenities including a large supermarket, hairdressers, bakeries, butchers, honey stores, beauty salons, newsagents and gift shops. The area is ideal not only for relaxing but also for those who wish to take part in the many outdoor activities that we can arrange for you, such as Guided walks, hiking, climbing, mountain/road biking, diving, sailing etc.
The popular coastal resorts of Denia, Javea, Moraira and Calpe are a short drive away whilst the bustling resort of Benidorm is some 45 minutes away with it’s theme parks and the famous Benidorm Palace.
