Our Pink Street House was built in 1897 by a glass manufacturer, Konrad Weberlich. It stands on a hill on the edge of Art Nouveau & Art Déco town Jablonec nad Nisou, near the University and Skiing Championship town of Liberec. Liberec is the Regional city for Jablonec.

For spring / summer / autumn holidays - Mushroom picking is a Czech national sport in August and September. Pink Street House stands some 10-minutes from the pine forests for your walks. You cannot get lost easily if you follow the official tourist paths through the hills. They are marked with coloured markers and name places to get from A to B and C, etc. This is to enable you to plan your tourist trips to the nearest place of interest - almost always ending with a pub restaurant in the hills.
You can take a stroll of around 25 minutes to the centre of the attractive town of JABLONEC NAD NISOU, where you will find an elegant shopping centre, several restaurants. Further by the man-made lake reservoir is a sports centre and an indoor swimming pool. In the centre are three unique squares above each other, starting from the bottom of a steep hill - with the Lower, the Middle (called Mirove - Peace) and the Top Square.
An English-language Glass Manufacture and Costume Jewellery Museum is in the Lower Square and really worth a visit.
A new Mr.&Mrs. Sheybal Arts Centre has opened in an old vicarage, after an extensive 2-year renovation. It stands above an international Hotel Merkur, opposite the Church of St. Ann's. Both the church and the Centre were renovated with the help of the EU sponsorship. Above the church of St. Ann's is a charming small hotel / restaurant called Zlaty Lev / Golden Lion, with excellent food, low prices and pleasant service. Next is a CSOB bank for all your needs.
On the edge of the town is a large man-made lake called PREHRADA / the Dam or Reservoir - for summer swimming. After staying here for a a short few days in 2011, when we wanted to visit Jablonec again in 2011, we did not hesitate. The Pink Street House was to be once again going to be our home away from home. A lovely studio with all the facilities you could need, even for a longer stay. A great garden with a pear tree, shaded seating, lots of flowers and butterflies which is a great way to relax. Another one of the great benefits of this place, is the very friendly owner, who was very helpful in answering all our questions about the area. Jablonec Nad Nisou is the heart of the Bohemian glass, bead and jewelry industry. Walking through town, and visiting the surrounding area is like travelling through a jewel box. |

The house was in a great location for mountain walks and exploring. The local buses and trains were brilliant, easy to travel anywhere and very reasonably priced. The house was very cosy and in a nice location. There was plenty to do with a bit of planning and an active imagination of seeking things out. Would recommend the house to anyone wanting an adventure holiday or a relaxing sightseeing break. The house owner is very accommodating with offering information and answering any questions. I can't recommend this house highly enough for a visit and think it is a lovely way to see this pretty part of the country. |

This is small flat in Jablonec. The flat is well appointed; a bedroom, a living room with a small kitchen and a private bathroom in the mezzanine. Jablonec is not the prettiest town in the Czech Republic, but the mountains around are very nice. Very close to the flat there's a train station with connections to Liberec and to the mountains. The owners are very attentive and reply quickly to questions/queries. |
