Casa La Celada offers gorgeous, high quality accommodation over three floors. From jacuzzi bathrooms and Grecian showers to vast marble tables and local art, this property offers abject luxury at a price to suit everyone.

Facing onto the village plaza, it is in the heart of Spanish life, while remaining extremely private due to the huge roof terrace with views spanning out for hundreds of miles around.

Completely central to Andalucia, this stunning property makes a perfect base for visiting the Alhambra, the coast, Cordoba's Mezquita, the Ronda valley ... or going riding, kayaking, quadding or walking locally.

With air conditioning for the balmy summer months, and full central heating and open fires in the winter, Casa La Celada is perfect all year round.

The Inland Andalucia / Cordoba Province region

Casa La Celada is literally in the centre of Andalucia. You can therefore use this property as a base from which to visit the Alhambra Palace (1hr), Córdoba's extraordinary Mezquita (1hr), or the Picasso Museum in Málaga (1hr).

Flamenco is all around, as are the stunning carpets of olive groves stretching for miles around. The Montilla Moriles Wine trail runs from Lucena (30mins) through to Córdoba (1hr) as does the ancient and historic Via Verde and GR7 Walking routes.

The Sierra Subbética mountains are one of the last known refuges for the Iberian Lynx.

Iznajar / La Celada area

We are between the villages of Iznájar & Rute. Iznájar, or Happy Castle, famously teeters on a rocky crag that juts out into Andalucia's largest Lake, El Embalse de Iznájar where you can visit the Tuesday markets, eat tapas by the lake or take a kayaking, scuba or sailing lesson.

Fiestas occur all year round but the most noted being Semana Santa (Easter Holy Week) and over 7/8/9 September when tens of thousands gather throughout the village for some of the most moving processions in Spain.

Rute, our other closest and larger town, offers all facilities including supermarkets. Rute is famous for having over 23 Anis distilleries and being home to the 4 ton chocolate Nativity Scene which is available to view from 12th October every year and is absolutely unmissable.

How to get there

Casa La Celada is an hour's stunning drive from either Malaga or Granada airport.

You can fly with Easyjet, Ryanair, ThomsonFly, Vueling, Aer Lingus to name a very few of the many carriers that serve both airports.

Car hire is recommended to make the most of this gorgeous rural area - www.carjet.com are usually incredibly competitive.

For guests who do not wish to hire cars, taxis from the airport cost around 60€ each way, English speakers can be arranged who will personally meet you and look after you.

This is simply a gorgeous home. We live here when it is not being rented out so it is furnished to the standard of a luxury home, not a "holiday home". Everything works, is maintained to the highest possible standard, and we pride ourselves on the quality we offer.

There are two sitting rooms, gym equipment, toys for pretty much all ages depending on what is required.

We do lock certain rooms for our most important items to be stored away, but it has no real effect on your enjoyment of the home.

Casa La Celada is in the heart of a safe, trusting, very traditional Spanish village where donkeys are still used in favour of tractors for some of the older residents. We have the most fantastic village shop complete with English Spanish dictionary and are next to a sleepy little bar where you can sit outside and drink beer of an evening.

For the more active, Bicycles available for rent from Iznájar village (5 mins in car) at 13€ per day

Conditions

* Smokers : Please note we do not allow smoking in any part of the interior of the house at any point. Our terraces are large and as such we welcome you to smoke as much as you like outside.

* Parents with small children - obviously your children are your responsibility! As you can see, this is a gorgeous home - and therefore breakages, stains etc need to be repaired or paid for.
