The Inland Andalucia / Cordoba Province region
Only 1 hour from Malaga airport, situated above a 32km long lake, is the old Spanish town of Iznajar. With lovely white washed houses and narrow winding lanes. The castle dates from the 8th century while the church dates from the 16th century. If you can manage the climb the views are spectacular, of course you can always stop for some refreshment on the way.

The village of Iznajar is 20 mins for the autovia, 45 mins from Granada (the Alhambra is a must) and 90 mins from Sevilla, about 1hr 20 mins from Cordoba making it ideally situated for sightseeing, a day trip to Gibraltar is also possible.
Or you can simply relax amid the olive groves. Slip into the time warp of the locals, bring your phrase book, the Spanish love to hear us trying to speak their language, and they are so very welcoming. Laze by the pool and then wander to the local taverns for tapas, visit the sandy beach on the shores of the lake, where safe bathing is enjoyed along with fishing and water sports. Iznajar is a unspoiled, traditional white walled, red roofed village of Iznajar, with its castle dating from the 8th century and church from the 16th century, has spectacular views over a 32 km long lake which hosts a variety of water-sports and fishing.
The nearby beach: Valdearenas is on the lake where you can swim, rent pedalos and canoes, and learn to sail (and possibly other water sports). It tends to be busier on Sundays but is very quiet during the week, even in the height of the season. The water is beautiful to swim in, the bathing is safe and the beach has sand to lie on or for children to play in.
However you spend your time here, we can be certain that you will not want to leave. We came for a visit and ended up moving here, and now I could write a book on all of our wonderful adventures made possible by the real Spanish people.

Cheap flights available from RyanAir and Monarch flying to Granada an easy 45 minute drive Large choice of budget airlines, such as Flybe and EasyJet (to name just 2) into Malaga an hours drive away Car hire is a must and a wide choice is available at both airports. Major companies such as Hertz, Avis, National and Europcar all inside Granada Airport and other companies such as Crown, Helle Hollis and many others a 2 minute free bus ride away. All major companies at Malaga Airport but some smaller budget companies have a collection service.

We can hold a provisional booking for 48 hours only in the high season or 2 weeks at all other times.
To confirm your holiday we require a deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost. If your holiday commences in less than 8 weeks, the full payment will be due when you book.
Once we have received your deposit, we will notify you immediately with confirmation of your booking and when the balance is due, along with clear directions and relevant information for your holiday.
Outstanding balances are due 8 weeks prior to commencement of your holiday.
How to make payments
Payment details will be sent by return, once the inital holiday request is made.
Holiday Arrival/Departure Information
Normally the "Start Date" of your holiday will be on a Saturday, please ask if you wish to start and finish your holiday on different days, this may be possible.
To allow us sufficient time to properly clean and prepare each property, we ask that you arrive as near to 5.00pm as possible and depart before 10.00am. Please let us know if this is going to present problems, we can sometimes make other arrangements. We would be grateful if you would leave the property and contents as tidy as possible.
One week prior to arrival, it would help if you could inform us of your estimated arrival time, this will enable us to arrange for someone to greet you with the keys. (If during your journey to Spain you are delayed, please try to let us know).
Holiday Property Information
Gas/Electric/Water are all included in the rental price, heating will vary so please clarify if you will require heating as in some cases wood fires are all that is available and prior orders for wood will be required.
Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided, please bring your own towels for the Beach.
Conditions
We ask that you inform us of any breakages or problems of any kind promptly, a full list of contact details will be left in each property.
All properties require a security deposit, This deposit will be refunded, (providing there are no breakages or damage) two weeks after your departure.
