The Devon region

Home to the English Riviera, South Devon is lined by sandy beaches and fluttering palm trees - and it's still a haven for families keen to enjoy its unique microclimate. Torquay, Paignton and Brixham make up Torbay, one of the most popular areas for holiday makers in Devon, and the area also includes the coastal towns of Dawlish, Teignmouth and Starcross. Visitors can stretch their legs along some of the prettiest sections of the South West Coast Path, take afternoon tea beside any number of picturesque harbours and enjoy the party atmosphere that ensues at every summer regatta in the region.

Ivybridge

South Devon's South Hams encompass a number of the county's most inspiring locations, such as Dartmouth, Salcombe and Totnes. The South Hams envelop traditional seaside towns, quaint villages and historic locations – so they are sure to include the ideal resort for your escape. Whether you're looking for relaxed time on the beach or to explore the intriguing and ancient resorts of the area, South Hams and Salcombe promise to dazzle with their unspoilt views.

The South Hams' coastal path stretches for sixty miles, so visitors have plenty of opportunity to stroll between locations and appreciate the scenery that makes the South Hams a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
