Near the end of an ancient Devon lane, on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Lower Broadaford, in the beautiful South Hams (an Area of Great Landscape Value), lies this very attractive converted barn. Arranged as an 'upside down' house to take advantage of its setting and retaining some delightful quirkiness, Quither affords peace and tranquility whilst being perfectly placed for the wide variety of activities in the area. The superb South Devon beaches and coastline are close by (Mothecombe at the mouth of the Erme is 6 miles), and Bigbury Bay, with adjoining Bantham Beach, provides one of the finest kitesurfing venues in the country. Lower Broadaford is also right on the southern edge of Dartmoor with Western Beacon just a mile away.
With its spacious, well-equipped interior and pleasant, private courtyard with “Arctic Spa” hot tub, Quither provides a very relaxing base at the end of a strenuous day's activity.

About this location
The Devon region
The superb South Devon beaches and coastline are close by (Mothecombe at the mouth of the Erme is 6 miles), and Bigbury Bay, with adjoining Bantham Beach, provides one of the finest kitesurfing venues in the country. Lower Broadaford is also right on the southern edge of Dartmoor with Western Beacon just a mile away.
The region is also a cyclist's paradise; the National Cycling Network affords substantial trails avoiding all main roads, with routes suitable for all abilities. The owners are keen cyclists and the house contains a wealth of information on this and other activities. The area is rich in wonderful walks, rides, and all types of fishing. Nature lovers need look no further than the grounds of the owners' adjacent farm, a County Wildlife site: follow their footpath by the Ludbrook into Stidston's Copse, an ancient wood at the end of the wildflower meadows fields or sit and relax by their large wildlife pond.
