Maison Campana is located in the historic bastide village of Issigeac, close to Bergerac in the south Dordogne. Tucked into a quiet corner of the village, the house is approximately 30 meters from the main square, and just a short stroll to pavement cafes, shops, restaurants and the 16th century chateau. The beautiful coloured glass windows of the Medieval church can be seen at the rear of the house, while the front opens onto a line of historic buildings, next to our sunny courtyard. Our spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms are on the first floor. The gite is arranged as a large and luminous loft space on the second floor. Our two spacious bedrooms with bathrooms are located on the first floor. The rooms have an uplifting, soothing feel, decorated in pale pastel colours, exotic detail with a touch of luxury and sumptuous lighting. The large windows have original shutters. Here you will be able to unwind and relax after a busy day sightseeing and wine tasting. The stylish bathrooms have large showers, or a bath and a shower. The rooms are equipped with wifi.

Issigeac is defined by its architecture but it's not a museum. It's a vibrant, busy village with a bustling Sunday market, perhaps the best market in the whole of the Dordogne. This should not be missed on any account. The village boasts five restaurants and three pavement cafes, art galleries, interesting boutiques, fine wine merchants and a complementary therapies centre. It somehow manages to be both a tourist attraction and a working village. Issigeac is surrounded by beautiful countryside, perfect for walking. Or perhaps you would prefer taking a leisurely drive along winding, peaceful country lanes, through the sunflower fields and the vineyards, ending with wine tasting at a 16th century chateau.
