The Manor House comprises 4 en-suite bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms, one with 6' 4-poster bed and a third family suite with double bedroom en-suite with enfilade bedroom comprising bunk beds and child's bed/ cot also en-suite. Both the main reception rooms, the Drawing Room and the Library, have pianos, comfortable sofas and open fireplaces and the enormous family kitchen has a cosy TV corner, Wood burner and an an old pool table that happily seats 10

The Manor house was built in the 18th Century over a far older property. The pigeonnier tower is 13th Century and some of the foundations Roman. It overlooks a private lake for swimming, fishing or boating and a 12 x 6 outdoor swimming pool, croquet lawn, table tennis, trampoline, badminton net and table snooker . There are stables on the property so you can bring your horse with you and walks and rides around our land. There are riding stables and tennis courts within 5 minutes drive and top class golf courses in the area.

We have a big outdoor bread oven where it is possible to cook your own pizzas and all the properties have private gardens, BBQs and garden furniture for outdoor living during the summer. In fact you will probably not feel a huge need to leave the grounds, however, this would be a mistake as this is a stunning area to visit.

We also do inclusive touring breaks so you do not even have to bring a car. We can collect you from the airport, take you to sample the local wines, markets, bastide villages, restaurants or further afield to visit the ancient towns and breathtaking gardens and chateaux of the Dordogne area.

You will stay in our beautiful home, which is run a bit like a small country hotel, put your feet up and relax, enjoy our facilities, sit in our garden with your paints or a book from our extensive library or go out and explore one of the most picturesque and utterly beautiful parts of France, knowing that at the end of the day there is always a good meal and a glass of wine to enjoy. The Dordogne region

Situated in the South-West of France Dordogne has remained one of France's most beautiful and favourite holiday destinations for its sheer variety of areas, unspoilt beauty and diversity of things to do. Visit chateaux perched on rocky outcrops or nestled amongst woodland or rolling hills, famous prehistoric sites (Lascaux and Les Eyzies), stunning gardens, breath taking villages of mellow stone, winding rivers to swim, kayak or fish in, fabulous markets, gourmet restaurants, and of course, wine tastings and vineyards. The climate features distinct seasons with cold but usually dry winters and hot summers and if you need a visit to the seaside it is only 2 hours away from the resorts around Bordeaux and Arcachon.

The property is situated 20 kms south of Bergerac which means that you are not far from the airport and the bustling activity of a town that boasts a medieval centre for sightseeing and sits nestled on the Dordogne river for barge trips or you can enjoy the more modern attractions of a larger town with fine eating, markets, very good shopping, banks, hospitals, museums and theatres.

We are 3.5kms away form the village of Issigeac which is one of the oldest and smallest of the bastide (fortified) towns and one of the most beautiful. It does however have a couple of butchers, bakers, a post office, bank, small medical centre and dentist, a couple of little supermarkets and the best market in the area which happens on a Sunday so very useful for stocking up for the week!

Driving out from there are things to see in every direction, in fact it will be hard to choose and I have no doubt you will be back to visit the bits you never got around to the first time.
