The chalet is located in the sunny ski resort of Isola 2000, perfect for both winter and summer holidays. The chalet is semi detached and sleeps up to 8 people with 3 bedrooms and 1 double sofa bed. The chalet is in a quiet spot with stunning uninterrupted views over the valley. It is furnished to a very high standard with the additional features of free wireless internet access, a wood burning stove, under floor heating on the ground floor, a separate secure garage, and bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost to the rental.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region
The Alpes Maritimes region of France has a wide contrast of landscapes with beautiful Mediterranean beaches at the coast and spectacular mountain scenery a little further north. The area is dotted with quaint villages, many with charming restaurants and historic buildings.
The Mercantour National Park is a haven for flora and fauna and is a thoroughly enjoyable place to relax in its serenity. Wildlife includes the bearded vulture, marmottes and chamois which have all been sighted around Isola 2000 which is in the peripheral area of the park.
The Cote d’Azur with its well known towns such as Nice, Cannes and Menton is a vibrant place to visit. The village of Tourettes-sur-Loup is well worth a visit with many small shops and lovely views.
The Alpes Maritimes are the most southern alps in France and often have better snow conditions than the resorts further north as was the case in December 2006 and January 2007.
Isola 2000 area
WINTER The chalet is situated above the main resort of Isola 2000, near the Hameau area. Isola 2000 offers excellent skiing throughout the season; suitable for beginners and intermediates alike. However there are plenty of challenging runs for those who enjoy the thrill of black pistes. The resort has invested in over 160 snow canons to ensure that the slopes are always in great condition and because of it's altitude (1800-2600m) Isola 2000 boasts a high snow and sun record.
There are 43 pistes (7 green, 21 blue, 11 red and 4 black) and 22 lifts (2 cable cars, 9 chairlifts, 10 Poma / button lifts and 1 funicular) and the resort is continually updating its lift system.
The Ecole du Ski Francais has 110 instructors in the resort and lessons may be booked online via their website. Alternatively we can highly recommend and book an independent instructor for you.
SUMMER During the summer season there are many activities at Isola 2000. Such activities include horse riding, fishing, swimming in the outdoor pool, tennis, mini golf, archery and mountain biking. There are many wonderful walks in and around Isola 2000, particular favourites being the Lacs de Terre Rouge and Tete Merciere at the top of the valley.
How to get there
Isola 2000 is only 86km away from Nice Airport with the journey taking about 90 minutes.
FLYING British Airways and several budget airlines fly to Nice Airport including BMI and Easyjet.

TAXI We would highly recommend the local taxi service who will collect you from the arrivals area of the airport and drop you off as close as you can get to the chalet at Isola 2000. Further details indoors: The chalet is officially rated 4 star and is semi detached (duplex style) with rooms on two floors:
GROUND FLOOR There is a small hall area where you can store coats and snow boots, from here there is a well equipped kitchen which opens out onto the open plan dining and living areas which all have stunning views over the Chastillon valley. The living area has a sofa bed, two seating cubes, a television, a DVD player and a lovely wood burning stove. Off the living area there is also a bedroom with bunk beds and en suite shower room with large heated towel rail. Patio doors open out from the living area onto the large south facing terrace.
FIRST FLOOR On the first floor there is one twin bedroom with a fitted wardrobe and one master bedroom with a fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and its own private balcony with magnificent views. There is also a large bathroom with toilet, basin, bath with shower over and a large heated towel rail. Next to the bathroom is a laundry cupboard with washer / tumble dryer, ironing board etc.
Further details outdoors: The chalet has a large private terrace off the living area which has an outdoor dining table, four wooden chairs, a large bench and two deck chairs on which to soak up the sunshine in privacy! There is also a balcony from the master bedroom with magnificent views over the resort.
The chalet is on the top row of the chalet development, so you can be assured that the terrace is completely private, there are no buildings behind, just unspoilt Alpine meadows and no roads immediately in front, just stunning views!
The chalet also comes with a secure garage located under the main apartment building of the development next to the road, which has excellent vehicle access especially useful in times of heavy snow. The garage is also very convenient to store your skis in as it is only a few steps to a small piste which leads to the Front de Neige ski area.

•We've teamed up with the local supermarket who will deliver your groceries to the chalet on your arrival - allowing you to settle in comfortably without the hassle of having to go out shopping!

•The chalet is strictly non smoking. •Changeover day is usually a Saturday however we aim to be flexible with our bookings and will do our best to accommodate you. Arrival times between 5pm - 7pm. Departure times between 8.30am - 10am. •We accept payment in both Pounds Sterling and Euros. •Booking deposit of 25% due on reserving your stay at the chalet, remaining balance payable 8 weeks before your stay. •Damage deposit of 1500 euros payable to our chalet hostess in the resort on arrival. •Our chalet hostess in the resort will do her best to help you, should you have any problems whilst staying at the chalet. •Cotton sheets and towels are included in the rental cost at no extra charge. •A small supply of firewood for the wood burning stove is available free of charge.

The cost of the chalet includes heating, electricity, water, bed linen, towels, wood for the stove, use of the garage and a basic clean at the end of your stay, but if a more thorough clean is needed a charge is payable to our agent at Isola 2000.
We accept payment in both Pounds Sterling and Euros.
Booking deposit of 25% due on reserving your stay at the chalet, remaining balance payable 8 weeks before your stay.
Damage deposit of 1500 euros payable to our agent in the resort on arrival.
