With free fishing all year round, trips on the owner's rowing boat and a delightful river-fronted garden with decked area, this lovely property is ideal for people who just want to spend a few weeks messing around on the river. Decorated in a clean, modern style, this lovely lodge is able to sleep four people in one ground floor double room and one first floor twin room with a balcony that overlooks the outdoor dining area. The main living space of the property is open-plan and comes with a well-equipped fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and a sitting area with patio doors leading onto the veranda.

Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pubs 1 mile. Note: Unfenced river at bottom of garden. Children must be supervised. Note: Narrow spiral staircase in property may be unsuitable for the less mobile. Note: Pets not to be left in property unattended. Note: This property requires a £100 refundable Good Housekeeping Bond for guests bringing a dog.

The Isleham / Fen Bank area
Situated in the south east corner of Cambridgeshire, the rural village of Isleham is well placed for access to the towns of Newmarket and Ely. Boasting three churches, three good pubs, a 24-hour Co-op supermarket and a post office, this lovely village makes the ideal location to enjoy a relaxing break. Free fishing is available all year on the River Lark which runs parallel to the village whilst Newmarket offers a range of good shops and excellent horse-racing at its famous track. As one of the smallest cities in Britain, Ely possesses a beautiful cathedral and an incredibly picturesque riverside walk, along which is the prize-winning tea-room, Peacocks, and a three storey antique shop housed in an old mill. The city of Cambridge itself is worth visiting and guests can take a punting tour along the river Cam to explore the various colleges.

Besides the wildfowl onthe river, the ducks liked to sit on the roof. The blackbirds ,sparrows and robin loved to see if you had had breakfast on the verandah. We had a lovely ,sunny week and enjoyed... more |

,The peace and quiet, the river at the end of the garden, the boat, the standard of everything was superb and there was now a door to the bedroom, not a curtain. The village was close and had a co-op and opposite the marina a farm selling there own meat.

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee per week or short break.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
