The natural wooden floors and decorative finishing touches throughout provide a cosy home for home feel.

From the warm comfort of the lounge you can access the bright, sunny kitchen, with ample facilities for both cooking and dining. From here, there are double patio doors leading out to the back garden and decking area, where there is comfortable seating and an alfresco dinning space.

However you like to relax this traditional terraced cottage is the perfect retreat, come rain or shine. Enjoy quiet reading time by the warmth of the stove, or hike to the summit of Dun Caan, Raasay's highest peak.

The Hebrides/Skye region

The North West Highlands of Scotland holds some of the world's best scenery as well as hundreds of plant and animal species. It also has a unique culture and although eveyone here now speaks English, the local language is the Gaelic (pronounced. Gaalik)

There is literally too much to see and do here that to show visitors what the area is like would fill a dozen websites and so we have included an area by area listing of local websites for you to explore.

Isle of Raasay

Lying just off the east coast of the Isle of Skye, it is from here that you will journey by ferry to one of the most beautiful and unspoilt places in the Scottish Islands and Highlands. As you sail, you can enjoy spectacular views of Skye’s Cuillin Mountains, Loch Sligachan, Braes and the Isle of Raasay itself.

Inverarish has a well stocked village shop, and the local hotel serving food and drinks is just a 15 walk away. Please note that there is no fuel station on Raasay. Further information about Raasay can be found at www.raasay.com
