Folie a Deux is a Duboka Bay Villas™ solar home designed to create fantastic holidays - spacious living areas, natural stone counters and sinks, wood finishings, distinctive Brac stonework, poolside terraces, floor-to-ceiling french doors upstairs and down with wood shutters, indoor/outdoor dining, small environmental footprint.
Folie a Deux gives you privacy with plenty of space for group activities. Each floor has a separate entrance plus internal door between floors to make access easy yet private. Perfect for groups or large families.
Duboka bay is just below the villa with pebble beach, your own swimming platform with umbrellas, lounge chairs, fantastic swimming and mooring for your boat or yacht.
Folie a Deux's distinctive touches complete the effect of casual luxury - Brac stone terraces and fireplaces, outdoor kitchen, large windows overlooking the bay, garden scents. Dining for 12+ in your choice of atmosphere - al fresco on the terrace, upstairs with fantastic view or downstairs in country kitchen.
Large poolside terrace and lovely garden are perfect for evening entertaining or just relaxing at home.
The villa has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on 2 floors plus loft with spectacular view overlooking Duboka Bay and nearby islands. All the amenities of home make your stay comfortable - gourmet kitchen, DVD collection and extensive library (mostly English books) enhance your stay.
The villa includes shared kayaks. Bicycles and scooters can be rented nearby in the village.

How to get there
The best way to get to Villa Folie a Deux is the Jadrolinija Ferry from the Split Ferry Port. You can buy tickets at the port - ask for Supetar.
The ferry port on Brac, Supetar, is just 45 minutes from the mainland (25 minutes by private power boat).
The village of Milna is a 20 minute drive along the coast, through the olive fields and one of the oldest villages on Brac.
Taxis are plentiful at the ferry port and airport, or we can arrange to have one waiting for you.
The ferry company, Jadrolinija, has schedules on its website.
You can rent a car at the Split airport or on the island of Brac in Supetar or Milna. We can help you arrange a rental car on the islnad.

Further details indoors: The first floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, large open gourmet kitchen/living area, floor-to-ceiling french doors leading to outside terraces, with large farmers table, which pulls out to comfortably seat 12+ people.
Upstairs (with private entrance) you'll find a more formal dining and living area with views, a beautiful antique round table, which seats 4 for an intimate dinner or up to 12 with 2 leaves. Interior door to ground floor provides privacy and safety for children. The upstairs has 2 large bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower.
Stairs lead to the attic loft - perfect for two with open bedroom/sitting area with breathtaking view of distant islands and Duboka Bay. Or for family groups, sleep up to 6 children using pull out sofas.
Further details outdoors: The dipping pool is surrounded by stone terraces and perfect for evening entertaining, basking in the sun and cooling off in the heat of the day.

SOLAR POWERED VILLA
Duboka Bay Villas is a solar powered community. Folie a Deux electric power is sourced from solar energy and stored in batteries. All lights, appliances and power outlets are powered by large capacity batteries, with the exception of the washing machine, dish washer, and electric ovens. These high wattage appliances are directly connected to a generator.
Because of the “clean environment” design of the houses, we ask guests to use the following energy saving practices:
Switch off lights when leaving a room. Turn off and disconnect TV when not in use. Turn off outdoor lights when returning home. Disconnect phone, camera and computer chargers from wall sockets once they have been charged and not in use. Use only low wattage appliances - these include fans, DVD player, computers, iPODs, cell phones and similar devices. Conserve water by turning off taps when not in use.
High wattage appliances such as hair dryers, toasters, coffee machines, electric kettles, irons, and other appliances, which have heating elements/coils cannot be used in the villa. Use of such high wattage appliances will deplete, and can potentially damage, the batteries.
Villa Galleria is a solar home designed to respect the nature and beauty of our island and to preserve the environment. The villa has a small environmental footprint with solar power, generator for backup and large appliances and cistern for water. We kindly ask guests to be environmentally conscientious during their stay and to refrain from using appliances with heating coils such as hair dryers, irons, curlers, coffee machines, etc.
