The house of 200 m² was restored by architects in an ecological way - certified wood, solar heating system-. On the ground floor the house offers, on the sea side, a very large open space including living room, dining room and open kitchen, the whole opens onto a large deck with panoramic views of the lagoon. The first floor comprises four large rooms plus an independent mezzanine and two bathrooms. They open on a balcony, with hammock, overhanging the sea.

The state of Bahia is famous for the quality of its weather all year round, and the warmth of it' population.
It has developed a rich culture of its own, taking from all its multicultural origins from Indian, European to African.
The island of Boipeba is very preserved. It has opened recently to tourism in a sustainable development way. Various biotopes are to be discovered such as the coral reef, the mangrove, or the tropical forest.

Island of Boipeba / Morere Beach area

Many paths make it possible to visit these attractive and rich area. The coral reef offers at low tide many natural swimming pools as well as a very rich sea life. The calm and hot water of the lagoon are perfect for swimming. The richness of the sea is accessible to all, in snorkelling or with the diving centre of the island. The horses are still very much used as means of transport, therefore it is easy to get some to ride on the island or to gallop on the beach.

Many paths will allow you great discovery walks or run through the islands. Several beaches lend themselves to the practice of surfing, and some are adapted to kit-surfing. Various types of fishing are possible from net fishing to underwater fishing. And regularly you will be able to buy fresh fish or lobster directly from the local fishermen. From, July to October, you will be able to leave at sea to admire the splendid and spectacular humpback whales.

How to get there

You will be coming from the city of Salvador to the the town of Valenca to join the island either by sea, by fast boat - 1h -, or by wooden boat - 4h -, several connections per day, cost about 30 Euro or by light plane directly from Salvador -30mn -, cost about 120 euros, contact : http://www.addey.com.br/

"EXTRAORDINAIRE! Nous avons eu le privilège d'être avec nos 2 enfants (18 mois et 7 ans)les premiers locataires de cette très belle maison d'architecte construite par le propriétaire (très sympa et qui vous donne tous les conseils pour vous sentir bien dans sa maison et réussir votre séjour)qui a passé 2 ans avec sa famille sur l'ile. Nous sommes habitués aux séjours dans les iles (seychelles, maldives, bali...)et les beaux hôtels, et Boipeba fut une expérience fantastique pour toute la famille. Outre la maison très belle :Plages superbes et variées (lagon devant maison donc sans soucis pour enfants), pas cher du tout(prévoir liquide car pas distributeurs), langouste et crevettes tous les jours(mais possibilité de trouver de tout avec les gens du village), quasiment aucun touriste, baleines au large, belle forêt, très sécurisant pour les enfants(pas de voiture & baignade sans danger), et des habitants du village sympas et serviables... bref des vacances parfaites! La maison est en face de la plage au coeur du village (donc pas de sentiment d'isolement) et on partage vraiment le quotidien de cet adorable village de pêcheur (à la différence de beaucoup d'hôtel sur les iles). Un conseil, munissez vous d'un bon dico Franco/portugais pour échanger avec les gens de l'ile (nous ne parlions pas un mot et on s'est très bien débrouillés)ça vaut la peine. Je m'arrête là car nous serions intarissables ...Nous retournerons à coup sur à Boipeba dans cette maison."
