Villa Centovi Dvori is located in a pine-forest, right on the coast of the crystal clear Adriatic Sea (30 m from the sea) and 3.5 km from the town Drvenik on the island of Drvenik Veliki. The Villa is a beautiful hacienda on a 8,500 m2 private premises. The dry stone wall around the entire property gives residents maximum privacy.
The Villa consists of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (each bedroom has its own bathroom), kitchen, living room, atrium, balcony, terrace and tavern. It is suitable for the accommodation of 8 persons.
Two bedrooms that are directly connected with the villa's main part are equipped with beds of 180x200 and 160x200, cupboards and commodes. The other two bedrooms have a special entry from the atrium are equipped with beds of 180x200, wardrobes and commodes, while the floor of all bedrooms are of top quality oak “rustic floor” providing a thermal insulation.
Each of the 4 bathrooms is adjacent to its bedroom and it consists of built shower cubicles of 110x100 cm each with, large lavatories, cabinets, mirrors and toilets. The spacious shower cubicles provide great comfort.
A 35 m2 living room represents a central part of the building and it connects the terrace, balcony, kitchen and atrium. It has a big leather set of sofas, chest of drawers, SAT LCD TV, DVD and a Hi-Fi system, Internet. The living room provides a spectacular view of the west and south during day and at night. A broad door to the balcony provides a completely opened living room towards the west, when opened.
Villa Centovi Dvori uses energy from renewable sources. Water is obtained from precipitation and is stored in a 90,000 litre reservoir which was exclusively designed for this purpose. Electricity is provided through solar energy produced by solar collector and stored in 1,000 Ah batteries. Solar collectors on the roof of the villa supply heat for the heating system as well as the enrgy used to provide hot water for the building's pluming whereas the hot water is also stored in a hot water tank with a capacity of 750 litres. The Villa is equipped with wall heating in all rooms. The bed rooms and kitchen are equipped with floor heating in addition to wall heating and is the world's latest technology in heating systems. This makes the villa habitable during the winter as well when the building needs to be heated due to low ambient temperature.
Villa Centovi Dvori is not air conditioned as there is no need for air conditioning due to its 45 cm thick walls and the high standard of insulation of the roof. Centovi Dvori is equipped with SAT LCD TV, DVD, Hi-Fi system, Internet, stove and range, refrigerator with a freezer, mixer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hair-driers, garden set, deck-chairs for the terrace, external shower, children's beds, barbecue, terrace and balcony with the sea view. Private parking is provided on site for 3 and more cars and a berth for a smaller boat is at disposal. The Villa has its own infrastructure: solar energy (6,000 W), generator (5,000 W) and water tank of 90,000 l.

The Dalmatia region
Trogir is situated in the center of Dalmatia, on the eastern coastline of Adriatic sea. The heart of Trogir is small islet laying between the gentle hills on the mainland and the coast of the Island of Ciovo. Small town of 12000 citizens is the center of Trogir micro - region which covers about 250km2.
Trogir Riviera is assemble of 20 islands, islets, small counties and villages. Placed in the area of mild Mediterranean climate, Trogir with its 2700 sunny hours per year is a real treasure among other tourist destinations in Croatia. Average air temperature throughout the year is above 15°C, reaching more than 30°C in summer. Sea temperature is well above 25°C during summer period.
Tourism is the largest industry in Trogir region covering 50% of Trogir's budget with more than 20.000 beds in hotels and private apartments. Still, there is very big fishing and agriculture tradition among population in surrounding areas.

All payments and prices are in Croatian Kuna (Kn), although you may ask to pay in EUR in almost every shop and restaurant, except food-markets. Approximate exchange rate is: 1 EUR = 7,5 Kn. There are four bank offices and several ATM (cash machines) located in Town center, accepting all major credit cards

Trogir (Tragurion) was settled by the Greeks in IV-III century BC during theirs hunts across Mediterranean.
In the First century AC, Trogir became Roman municipality "TRAGURIUM CIVIUM ROMANORUM" joined to Salona, center of Roman province of Dalmatia. Upon the fall of the Roman Empire in Fifth century, Trogir has been developed as a independent town.
In the Sixth century, the Croats settled in Trogir area and began creating works of art. Right from the beginning of the Middle Ages the old Greek town of Tragurion felt the fire of the new medieval culture. Builders and masons built churches and decorated it with interlaced ornamentation. During the Tenth century citizens of Trogir renewed they old municipal life of the formal Roman "oppidum". In their struggle against the Venetians, the kings of Hungary got Trogir to their side in return for a guarantee of Independence. Its citizens could freely elect their city leaders and, already in the Eleventh century, the small community crowded on the fortified islet, had its own Bishop who was suffrage of the Bishop of Split.
Drvenik Veli is an island situated in middle-Dalmatian archipelago, northwest of the island of Solta, 1 nm from the mainland. Nearest mainland port is in Vinisce. Drvenik Veli is 7.1 nm far from Trogir and 15 nm far from the Split. Size of island Drvenik Veli is 12 kilometers squared.
Climate is Mediterranean. Winds that blow are bora and scirocco. Average year temperature is 18 °C.
The first records of Drvenik Great dating from 15th century. The island was inhabited in the 15th century. The church on the island was built in 1500th year, and its original parts still exist. The first inhabitants were shepherds and nomads, mostly from Trogir hinterland and Drvenik near Makarska, running away from Turks. Island Drvenik was named by village Drvenik near Makarska. In 1848. it was named Drvenik Veli. Now Inhabitants are mostly directed to agriculture, livestock farming and fishing. Drvenik Veli is also known by carobs.
The main settlement on the island is village Drvenik which has a small fery port. In this port you can arrive with ferry from Trogir and Seget Donji. In Trogir the ferry for Drvenik Veli goes from waterfront (Riva). If you want to go to Drvenik Veli with your car than you must go from Seget Donji which is only 1 kilometer from Trogir. In Drvenik you can find grocery store, restaurants, pizzerias and taverns.
Drvenik Veli is an island of peace, untouched nature, clean sea and beautiful beaches. The coast is rugged and consists of many bays with sandy and pebbly beaches. The most beautiful is beach Krknjasi, located on the south-east coast of this island. From the outside, the bay is protected with two islands, big and small Krknjas. During the summer this beach is full of boats that are anchored in front of the beach. There is one nice restaurant(link na komunu) placed few meters from the beach which offers you an excellent selection of fresh seafood and authentic Dalmatian dishes. This natural beauty you can visit by renting a boat in Trogir or Okrug (referenca na rentu) or you can go with organized excursions (referenca na excursions). If you don't prefer this way of traveling you can arrive with ferry which will drive you to the main village Drvenik and than you can come to Krknjasi by foot. It will take about 30 minutes.
Accommodation available on the islands are mostly apartments in private houses and beach-houses away from civilization, in the hidden inlets.
