Home description
Isca dreams has everything provided for a relaxed family holiday. It is a 5 minute walk to the small village, which has a few shops and a bus stop. The next towns are bigger and Soverato is a buzzing town 15 minutes away. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach, and there are several new restaurants and bars. There are plenty of watersports on offer and fishing is available. There are some large shopping centres approx. 45 minutes away, so we can keep Isca nice and quiet. Isca is a 50 min drive from the airport. The house is one of 11 in a row and has 2 pools on site, 1 of which is a shallow pool. There are also outside showers. There is private parking in this gated complex. The house is 80 square meters including terraces. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and one with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower. The property also has 2 balconies upstairs. Downstairs is the living room with TV/DVD, a fully fitted kitchen/dining area. The garden is approx. 60 square metres and overlooks an olive grove. Isca and neighboring towns offer a range off restaurants with reasonable prices, but to have your meal in the garden is also enjoyable, watching the sun set over the mountains. Most other owners are British, but the locals are very friendly and helpful.

The Southern Italy / Calabria region
Calabria has a pleasant climate all year round. We have been in December and were on the beach in the sunshine. There are many interesting historical sites and breathtaking views from the hills. The area is only now getting developed for tourism and the prices are very cheap compared to the North of Italy. There are several buzzing towns towns like Soverato and Rochella on this beautiful East Coast, but it will never be Benidorm. ( Thank God ). The sea is deep blue and has a nice temperature. There are no wild waves on this coast, so it is safer to swim.
Isca Marina area
Isca is a 5 minute walk from the house. It is a small, typical Italian village with a friendly community. There are a few shops, they close between 2-5 pm and then open again. The village is built against the mountain and it it interesting to see were the local people live. There is a cafe along the main road. There is a traveling market most days in neighbouring towns. There is a town square in Isca with a cafe where the locals meet and play jeu de boule.There is a public swimming pool and fitness centre 200 yards away. The beach is only a 5 minute walk and is used for sunbathing, swimming, watersports and fishing. The marina is 1 mile to the right. On the beach there are several bars and restaurants. The beach stretches for miles along the deep blue Ionian sea, and many people enjoy a long walk along the coast line.
How to get there
Fly from Stanstead to Lamezia , hire a car and drive the last 50 minutes, or take the train or local bus .or arange to get picked up. Ask for details. Fly to Rome , rent a car and drive the last 6 hours. Fly to Napels and hire a car and deive the last 4 hours

Further details indoors: The upper floor is covered with a round wooden ceiling and gives the house a warm feeling. All four exits are French doors. The balcony at the back overlooks the olive grove and provides the house with a spectacular sunset. The house was only finished in Dec 08 and is still new. 24 Houses in a gated community with 2 pools could make a very relaxed holiday
Further details outdoors: The beach is a 5 minute walk and there are several water sports opportunities, bars and restaurants. The 2 pools bring some cooler activity and also give you a chance to meet your neighbours. The management office is just outside the gates.
