The Ironbridge Gorge is renowned throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Pioneering industrialists including Sir Basil Brooke, the four Abraham Darbys, William Reynolds, and Richard Wilkinson led to the area becoming the most technologically advanced in the world by the close of the 18th century. The legacy of revolution includes the remains of the furnace where the first Abraham Darby smelted iron using coke for the first time in 1709 and, the world's first Iron Bridge, constructed in 1779 by the third Abraham Darby.

Further details indoors: The cottage is within a terrace of Grade II listed Ironworkers cottages and accommodates 4 comfortably. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (each with a 5ft double bed) and one single bedroom suitable for a child or adult. The main double and single rooms overlook the Horsehay pool.
Downstairs there is a 20ft Lounge/Dining room with beamed ceiling and parquet flooring and a separate kitchen with gas cooker and larder fridge with small freezer compartment. There is a utility area with a washer/dryer and a downstairs bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath. Please note, there is currrently no dishwasher in the property. Parking is available in the service road behind the cottage and at the front of the property in Pool View road. The cottage has gas central heating and there are front and rear gardens. We regret that we cannot accept pets and that there is no smoking permitted inside the property.
