Shepherd's Retreat provides a wonderful rural escape for 2 people. Set in a secluded woodland area of a working Shropshire farm and just a few miles from the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge in Shropshire.

The accommodation provides a luxury glamping experience in a converted shepherd's hut, complete with double bed, your own kitchen and even your own log burning stove thus providing a unique holiday all year round. There's also a flat screen TV and dining area. Wood is provided for your log burner throughout your stay.

Situated underneath The Wrekin Hill, a mile from the delightful hamlet of Leighton, Shepherd's Retreat offers an escape to rural life in the heart of Shropshire. Enjoy the sounds of the stream below your decked balcony and listen to the sounds of nature in the woodland under which your hut is located.

There is a separate shower room, previously the pig sty. This is shared with just one other hut, so there's no need to worry about queues for the shower! It is situated along a 50 yard lit walkway, providing lovely views along the way and includes a modern shower, sink basin and WC. The walkway is gravelled so there's no need to worry about getting muddy boots either.

The farm itself is located at the end of its own narrow and quiet country lane a mile from the village of Leighton. Leighton itself is just 2 miles from Ironbridge and has a recently refurbished country inn which provides evening meals. Alternatively, the scenic village of Little Wenlock, just a few miles up the hill, is home to The Huntsman Inn, which also provides meals of an excellent standard.
