A large, spacious Edwardian house, beautifully decorated and well appointed. This stunning house is conveniently placed for Christchurch Park and Mansion and pubs and restaurants. Close to the beautiful Suffolk coast, Milnthorpe House is less than 2 hours drive from London. For those wishing to take public transport, Ipswich is just over an hour by train from London. Within easy reach of Stansted Airport and the ferries from Harwich, this property is ideally located.

Milnthorpe House is a large property sleeping up to 14 guests in 2 triple rooms, 3 double rooms and a twin room. There are 3 bathrooms.

The house has 5 reception rooms, including a sitting room, drawing room, dining room, library, conservatory and kitchen breakfast room. The spacious rooms allow plenty of room for groups to gather together or to ensure peace, privacy and the opportunity to work. The property has Broadband and Wifi connections, a large screen TV with cable channels and music systems.

* The dining room and sitting/drawing rooms can seat 14 people
* There is a well equipped kitchen with range comprising a gas hob and double electric oven, dishwasher and large American style fridge/ freezer. A separate utility room has a washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board.
A heated outdoor swimming pool can be enjoyed by guests from May to September. It is set in attractive gardens with garden furniture and a gas BBQ.

It has a large driveway with plenty of parking.

Our change-over day is flexible and, where possible, we are happy to fit in with your requirements.

The East Anglia / Suffolk region

There are many places of interest within easy distance including Orford, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Woobridge and Felixstowe. London is only 1.5 hours away by car and just over 1 hour by train.

This is an excellent location for exploring the pretty county of Suffolk and the various market towns, villages and ancient churches. Visit Constable Country, Flatford Mill, Dedham and the Stour Estuary for superb scenery.

Ipswich area

The house is in the interesting town of Ipswich on the Suffolk Coast. Enjoy discovering the harbour and preserved historic sections of town. There is good shopping locally.

There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the local area. The Marina has a good range of restaurants and bars.

The house is situated in a leafy part of Ipswich, close to Christchurch Park and Mansion and within easyreach of the Suffolk Coast. There is good shopping locally and many popular restaurants in the attractive historic part of town. The lively and picturesque marina has a number of good restaurants and bars. This is an excellent location for exploring the pretty county of Suffolk and the delightful villages and market towns. Visit Constable Country, Flatford Mill, Dedham and the Stour Estuary for superb scenery. Rendlesham Forest, Woodbridge and Felixstowe are all a short drive away. Alton water reservior is close by, and is excellent for walking and cycling. Watersports can also be enjoyed here, with opportunities to sail, windsurf and canoe. Snape Maltings, with its famous concert hall and Aldeburgh festival is a short drive away. The popular small seaside towns of Aldeburgh, Orford, Dunwich and Southwold should not be missed, and can be reached within a 40 minute drive. There are many award winnings pubs and restaurants in the area, serving local beers and produce.
